Vitamins & Calcium
Hi All!
,
I have still been using chewable vitamins (I bought stock in them
) and chewable calcium (also- stock
). I am 10 months out.
Do I still NEED to chew, or can I take pills? Anybody know?
I take other pills whole, so I am asuming I can take the vitamins whole, but you know what happens when you assume something!
Thanks in advance for your input!
Christine

Hi Christine!
I take my vitamins in pill form (I have since about month 4) and have not had any troubles. I do take a bariatric vitamin which is in capsule form and the capsule has been designed to break down quickly so that we WLS patients can absorb the nutrients. The ones I take are called Vita4Life, and I really like them. I also take my calcium citrate in pill form.
I think you should be fine, especially if you take other pills. But always check with the Dr first as a precaution.
Good Luck!
Hugs,
Carla
I started taking the VistaVitamins Wellness Capsules at three months. I couldn't stand the taste of the chewables, and dreaded eating them. I was a little worried about swallowing the capsules (4 in the morning and 4 in the evening) but I take them one at a time, every 5 minutes or so and I've had no problems whatsoever.
They set you up for automatic delivery, and send you a fresh supply every three months unless you cancel. One less thing to worry about.
