I GOT APPROVED FOR LAPBAND SURGERY TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got approved today for Lapband surgery!!!! I am so excited I am jumping up and down and screaming!!!! Anthem Blue Cross with one appeal!!!! Thank you God!!!!!!!!!!!! My surgeon's office will give me a new date today. (I was originally scheduled for 4/7.) Hopefully ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!! I bagan this journey last August and am so thankful it is finally here!!!!!!!

Congratulation Kelly, I had lap band surgery on 3/3/05 and have lost 35 pounds so far. Just stick to what they tell you and your life is magically going to change before your eyes. Good luck and Good Health. Patty

Patty- I am so encouraged by your message! I am going to follow all the doctor's recommendations. I hope to be as successful as you as quickly!! I am going to Italy for a month in july with my husband, four kids, neice and mother in law. I am relieved that my surgery (May 2nd) will be enough ahead so I'll be comfortable with the band before we leave. Patty- how long were you uncomfortable? Who was your surgeon? Kelly

Hi, I am in the same position you were in. I am in the first stage of appeal with Anthem, also for Lap Band.How long did it take after the appeal was sent in to Anthem for you to get an answer?I hope not too long. I am eagerly awaiting an answer. I hope to not have to go to second level appeal, but certainly will if I get declined again. Marcia

Oh- my surgery is monday 5/3 with Dr. Barba at St. Francis hospital in Hartford. I live in Southington.
