Lap Band

Hello all-I am considering the lap band-I cannot have the RNY because of a medical problem. How has everyones sucess been for this? What is the recovery like? What does it feel like to have the band in-do you feel it? Who is a good surgeon in the area for this(not Dr Aranow)? What is St Francis's preop like, and how long does it take from start to surgery? Thanks for answering all my questions?
