Mon. Night Support Group Meeting

Hi, All! Mon., 7/11, is the 2nd Mon. of the month, so the support group meeting at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown is for both pre- and post-ops. Although most people are patients of Dr. Aranow, others are welcome, too. The meeting is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. (Note the new time...some people are still showing up at 7...and are surprised that they missed half the meeting.) Some of us will be going to dinner after the meeting. Anyone want to join us? Even if you would rather eat dinner before the meeting, please come with us and just have something to drink. The purpose of going out is NOT the food...it's the company, additional support and getting to know each other better. If you need directions, please e-mail me. Have a good weekend, Debby

Hi, Tammy! I'm happy you'll be there Mon. night. It's been waaaay too long. Can it really be that I haven't seen you since before your surgery? Since your only picture on this website (besides the ones of your kids) is your "before" picture, will I even recognize you? Hugs, Debby

I saw you after your surgery, I visited you in the hospital, but I think it was the same day, so you were in la la land. ha ha. I need to have another picture taken, but my digital camera broke! If anyone has one they could bring to the Monday night meeting, I'd be forever in your debt! I think we may have a hard time recognizing each other!! Can't wait. Hugs and kisses. Tammy

Hi, Tammy! Now that you mention it, I have a vague memory of Peter and Joanne Ligas, Joanie M. and you all stopping by briefly to see me before the support group meeting that night. My surgery was at 1:30 p.m. and I'm told that I got to my room at about 5 p.m., so that would have been about 1 1/2 hrs. after I got to my room. I don't remember a thing from my time in the recovery room and I also don't really remember my 1st walk after surgery. My mother and sister said that it was at about 8 p.m. and that they didn't leave until I was back in my room, but I have to take their word for it. Those drugs were good! I'm looking forward to tomorrow night! Hugs, Debby
