Hello Everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know Paul finally made it on his journey to the losing side. I received an email from his mom to let me know that his surgery was a success, he is up and walking and doing great. Lets all send him our congratulations and best wishes on his success with everything. This poor guy is on his third attempt and has finally done it!! I am listing his profile here for all of us to send him our congratulations and best wishes. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=M1101698178 Thank God he has finally succeeded in this and I am so happy for him, he has been so upset about having to do this over and over, he was getting so discouraged, but now he is finally on his journey. LETS ALL SEND OUR LOVE TO PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs KimC

Hello again everyone, I just got off the phone with Paul, he sounds great, he is alittle gassy and sore of course, but he is doing great. He passed his leak test and now is waiting to hear the next step from Dr. Barajas. He hopes to be home on Friday. I wanted to keep everyone updated on his progress, he's a sweet guy and could use all our love and support. He is at St. Raphaels if any of you are in the area stop by and say hello or give him a buzz. Thanks all Hugs KimC

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I was released tonight actually (that drain getting pulled = NOT FUN!). But I'm having a tough time trying to find a good place to sleep as i'm still gassy and whatnot and now my mind is seriously playing tricks on me. I'm having very vivid nightmares, probably because of the morphine. No real pain, just working to get in my liquids and fluids. Couldn't really sleep in the recliner and my bed is out of the question. I'm just not tired enough to sleep. And yes, I'm wondering why I did this to myself.

Hi Paul Sorry for getting back to you so late, was away last week camping with my son. I used pillows to prop myself up on my side to sleep, the gentle pressure of the pillows helped me. Good Luck and Welcome to the "Losing Side" ! Julio
