Gas - Gas - Gas

I am almost 2 weeks post op lap band and have the worst gas practically everyday. I take Gas X and am trying my best to stick my stage 2 diet and drink my required fluids. There are times when the gas causes me to not be able to lie down and sleep well. Alot of times, I can't tell if I have gas or if I'd had enough. Can anyone help me with this? Has anyone else experienced the same thing? When will this gas go away?

I had bad gas too. The more walking, the better the gas. Hope you start sleeping better soon! Love, Tammy

Ah yes, gas - the gift that keeps on giving! I'm almost 3 weeks post op lap band and had the same trouble. Moving about more helped, as others suggest, but the most dramatic improvement came when I started adding 1 or 2 90 calorie yogurts per day. Yogurt's properties can help normalize the body's intestinal flora and fauna (or whatever!!). The reason I started eating yogurt was as a snack because I was so darned hungry, so the resolution of the other problem we shared was an unintended consequence, or as we call it here in New England, dumb luck. You can't beat it.. Are you hungry too? Good luck to you. Things really do improve every day and I hope you're feeling much better very soon. Best wishes from Mary M
