Vickie Update

What a surprise I had last night while visiting my sister at the hospital! As Tommy and I were walking down the hall I saw a very familiar face. It was Kimmie C! She was visiting a relative and we bumped into each other. What a great feeling to know someone before you meet them. It was like I saw a long lost friend I never saw before. Thanks for the wonderful compliment, Kimmie! It made my day. Well, Vickie was having a bad reaction to the anesthesia and was vomiting. The doctors are concerned about pouch staples being pulled because of the force. Today they will be doing the oily wax flavored drink test. UUGGHH!! Please keep her in your thoughts today. Let's pray her pouch doesn't leak! Stacey

Hi Stacey Thank you for update about Vickie. I am still keeping pray for her and hope you will hear for good new today! Kimmie is one of my good friends and she is so sweet lady and fun person to chat with! I am so glad she took her time to visit her while she is visiting her relative in the hospital. Kathy K

Hi Stacey, Thanks for the update on Vickie. Please tell her to hang in there and tell her that there are a LOT of thoughts and prayers for her. I'm one to get really sick after anesthesia, so I'm hoping that I don't have this in two weeks! Dr A told me that he's going to order a "patch" to put in back of my ear to prevent the nausea (it's a sea/air sickness patch)...I hope it helps! Does she have an NG tube in her nose? Paula

Paula~ My sister has had 3 back surgeries, so I guess they weren't even concerned with the anesthesia. She was telling the nurses that it was the smell of the oxygen from the nose tube, so once she took it out, the nausea subsided. I'm not sure of what an NG tube is, so I have no idea if she had one. Hey Stacey, It was so wonderful to finally see you too. I agree on what a great feeling is was know someone before you meet them. You and Tommy are such sweet people.
