A Lot Of Great Party Ideas

Looks like we have a lot of great ideas and interest for the holiday party. We just need to decide how formal or informal we want to do it. I personally thought the Trax idea sounded good. Everyone needs to be in agreement. It has the pool which is great for the kids. We could all bring a dish. Tammy, does it have enough outlets for crockpots? If you all want, I could do Mary Kay makeovers at a station on a few people at a time as well. What do you all think????? Everyone's input matters. Would you rather have it at restaurant atmosphere? Wow...would we really include kids? I hope no one lamb-bastes me for saying this --but I much prefer, just adults. I think the Trax idea is great...but without the kiddos which will distract us from the social aspect of all of this. Just my opinion.. Joanie

Adults only is fine Joanie. That's what this post is for, to get it all out there. Since I don't have kids, I don't tend to think of these things. No lamb basting coming from me. Maggie

I'll go with the majority. I have kids and it's tough to get a sitter, but I'll roll with what everyone else wants to do. Tammy

Sure is easier to fit under that chair this year.... and alot quicker to get out from under it too I could care less... either way. There are advantages to both. Peter

Is there a link somewhere where this conversation stared? I feel lost, and would like to have an idea of what is being thought of. Peter

Thanks for the link. Got a chance to catch up with the thoughts. I like the Trax idea. We certainly can provide enough food or even get someone to cater it. Being a mix of pre and post-ops, a $10 per person could end up dropping quite a bit. The pool sounds wonderful. Anyone up for water volleyball?? Water basketball? Flag tag (a modified flag football) ? Low impact and great exercise while it all looks like fun. Would definitly need team registration. I do not know if Trax would allow "adult" drinks. That might pose an issue to some. If it was that big of an issue, there could be an adult meeting at some bar afterwards. Plenty nearby. I can provide some desserts without any problem. SF Ice cream in several flavors, as well as regular stuff for the pre-ops and famliy members who chose otherwise.I have a 42 cup coffee pot and can being that along with coffee, stirrers and sweetners also. I have enough plastic forks. knives and spoons along with roll tablecloth so that should be fine. I have sterno trays around here somewhere also. Would help some. That's all I can think of this early in the morning. Hope this thread keeps moving. Peter

Sounds great to me. We just need others to start putting in their opinions as well. Tammy, would there be a problem bringing in alcohol to Trax or would we have to go out afterwards for a few drinks? Is anyone opposed to Trax? Speak up now. We need to know how you feel now. Everyone's opinon counts. Maggie
