Mon. Night Support Group Meeting
Hi, All!
This coming Mon. night, 9/26, is the 4th Mon. of the month, so the support group meeting at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.) is meant to be for pre-ops only, with a panel of post-ops giving a presentation and answering questions. Some of us post-ops will be "crashing" the meeting to support our friends on the panel (including Phil). No one minds our presence (they even ask us questions, too), but we don't ask questions ourselves that night. Although most attendees are patients of Dr. Aranow, anyone is welcome at the meeting.
Afterward we'll be going out to dinner...both pre- and post-ops. The point of going out isn't the food, it's the extra support and friendship, so please join us. Even if you'd rather eat before the meeting, just come and have something to drink. The restaurants we go to don't mind if some people don't eat.
If you need directions, please e-mail me.
So who's going to the meeting? And who'll be going out with us afterward?
Debby
I'll be there- I had too much going on last Monday- had my psych eval and an appointment with my PCP- who gave me the all clear and her blessing to go ahead with Dr. Aranow and WLS.
Apparently Dr. Wirth thought I am stable- the men in white coats weren't at the door to escort me off when we were done. Although I had to chuckle while taking the MMPI - I LOVE those questions- you could really build a case for yourself by messing around with that. "I feel someone is trying to poison me" "Someone is following me" LOL
SO I shall be there with bells on my feet- assuming I can find my feet. LOL
