question re; lap band

Hi- I am new to your board but have been lurking... I am a bandster, am very happy with the decision. I was too scared of RNY and this seemed more livable and realistic, and less invasive, at least for me. As far as being reversible, in the case of a health emergency only , it can be removed. In the case of pregnancy, they will empty the band so there is no restriction. Good luck with whatever decision your sister decides! Warmly, Sallita Ballard

Oops! I forgot to also tell you, I had NO other co-morbid conditions. No heart disease, blood pressure, asthma, etc... not sure what my BMI was-I'm 5'6"- 240 pounds. Hope that helps!
