6 months out!
This Saturday was my 6 month anniversary. Geez, it doesn't feel like it has been that long! I still remember when I was posting about the agony my bra was causing on my scar. (To you pre-ops and early post-op, it goes away in like 8 weeks and then life is wonderful!)
Well, what can I say, its been great. I didn't have many health issues before surgery so the greatest thing about this has been the actual weight loss and what that has done for me as a person. I feel more outgoing, like the world is finally accepting me. Sometimes I am upset by how differently people treat you when you are even just slightly thinner, but most of the time I am like "Sir, you want to give me your seat on the bus? THANK YOU!"
Anyhoo, I am grateful for all the support that this site and the Middlesex meeting group (especially Deb. Marcus) has been to me. I really don't know how could have made it otherwise. I probably would have taken some Motrin long ago, I know that much. Thanks guys!
Now for the the exciting part.....
Clothes 28 16/18
Shoes 12.5 W 11 Reg (by far the most amazing thing!)
Weight 348 228 (3 more lbs until my mini goal of 225!)
Christine,
WOW..congratulations on your wonderful stats! I'm SO proud of you...I'm just two weeks out and I was just wondering about how I'm going to wear a bra tomorrow to Dr Aranow's office for my two week visit!!! I haven't worn one yet!
Continue the great work and as always, keep us all posted.

Thanks for the encouragement! As for the bra thing, just in case no one every mentioned it to you (no one told me) the best thing is to tape a gauze pad or 2 (or like 7 if it takes that to make you comfortable) where the bra meets your incision. Be careful though, its trial and error on the best placement. I found that when I taped it too tightly, I felt this constant pressure on my chest all day, sort of like a slow heart attack. Not cool. Good luck on your appt. tomorrow!
Hey Christine,
Congratualtions to you sweetie, great job!!!
