Tues. & Thurs. Night Support Group Meetings

Hi, All! Because Mon. is considered something of a holiday, the support group meetings that would normally meet then are rescheduled for later in the week. The Hamden meeting will take place on Tues., 1/3, from 6:30 - 8 p.m., at the Senior Center (behind the Miller Library on Dixwell Ave.) This group isn't affiliated with any doctor or hospital and is run by a couple of post-ops. It's open to everyone, pre- or post-op. The meetings generally consist of discussion, questions and answers and, lately, a presentation by a post-op. Sometimes there are guest speakers, but not this time. The Middletown support group meeting (held at Middlesex Hospital from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.) on the 1st Mon. of the month is for pre-ops only. It's a mandatory (one time only) presentation given by Dr. Kim Daniels (psychologist) and Elina Schwartz (dietician). It's been moved to Thurs., 1/5. On the 1st Tues. of each month, there's a post-op only support group meeting at Middlesex Hospital, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. That will be held on 1/3. The Middlesex meetings are primarily for patients of Dr. Aranow, but anyone is welcome. I'll be at the post-op meeting in Middletown on Tues. night. (Assuming that the snow and ice we're supposed to have Mon. night into Tues. clears up by then.) Who else is planning to go? Anyone want to join us for dinner after?
