hey there Kristin,
i used Dr John Borkowski from Middletown for my plastic surgeries. I had abdominoplsty done with him 2 years ago and i am very happy with the results. i've also had some lipo done on my thighs and a thigh lift done last week. he came highly recommended to me and i trust him whole-heartedly. Denise
Hi Kristen
I am using Dr John Borkowski from Middletoen for my tummy tuck (full) and breast lifts. I might have this done this late June when the kids are out from school. He have three offices Middletown, Essex, and Madison. Here is his phone number for Middletown 860 -346-8657. He is very nice man and take his time to commnicate with me since I am hearing impaired. He was highly recommended by my doctor , Dr Aranow, who did gastric bypass on me.
Good luck on searching
Have a good day!

Thank you Kathy!! I also debated about when to try to have the surgery (or surgeries) -- I have three active boys (8, 6, 3), but with school not letting out until the end of June, I was afraid I would miss out on a lot of the summer - beach, swimming, etc. Did Dr. Borkowski indictate when you would be able to be in the water after your surgery (pool, ocean or otherwise)? This was one of the questions I have for my first consult. Good luck with your surgery and thank you for the recommendation!

When I discussed with Dr B. about swimming pool issue, he said i cannot go to the pool after 4 weeks after this surgery. that is why I preferred to spend my time with my kids during summer and probably to have this surgery beggining of August so I had fun times with my kids this summer coming. My kids need me to join in our pool and play with them!!!! LOL
Good luck with your first consult!
Hope to meet you on March 4th if you can make it!

Thank you Denise! How are you feeling after your recent surgery? I understand that the thigh lift is one of the most painful for recovery, and I am also hoping to have some thigh work done. I hope you are healing well. Thank you for the recommendation - I am creating a plastic surgeon directory on my desk here! It feels wonderful and exciting - I really appreciate everyone's input!

HI DENISE
CAN YOU TELL ME HOW YOUR ARE RECOVERING FROM THE THIGH LIFT. I AM THINKING ABOUT HAVING A THIGH LIFT BUT I HAVE HEARD THAT THE RESULT ARE NOT SO GREAT. I MY THIGHS ARE SMALL EXCEPT FOR THE INNER THIGH SAGGGGGGGG!! I WANT TO HAVE A TUMMY TUCK ALSO. FOR MY SURGERIES THE INCISIONS OPEN UP AND I END UP WITH AN OPEN WOUND THAT TAKES MONTHS TO HEAL. I HOPE YOUR ARE RECOVERING WELL
BLESSINGS

I am recovering well form the thigh lift, and actually this was not as painfull as i expected it to be. believe it or not i think the lipo was more painful. i know i am pushing it but i went back to work in 6 days. i came home with a catheter and 2 drains and was told to stay in bed for 2 days and thats what i did. had the cath taken out friday and the drains taken out monday. the only part of my incision that really bothers me is (excuse my French) but on the side of the crotch. the rest doesn't even hurt!! Thanks for the blessings. Denise
I also have the inner thigh sag -- I'm going to ask if lipo only would be possible for me **fingers crossed**. I am not sure how well lipo works if the skin is saggy
--- I just can't bear to think of an incision going up my leg and by my crotch.
My thighs aren't "too" bad, but like you said - that inner thigh sag -- its terrible! Once I have a better idea of what & when my surgery *might* be I will post before pictures. You can take a look & compare sagginess!

Hi Kristin,
I rarely post on the CT board, anyway...I see that you had Dr. Valin...he did my lap RNY 4 yrs ago...and I just adore him and Debby. Anyway, when it came time for the "girls" to be lifted back north of the border, I went with their recommendation of Dr. John Reilly. He has an office in Shelton and New Haven. He's awesome. Very nice, very thorough and he did a fantastic job on "the girls". I'm almost 37 years old and the girls look like they belong on a 20 something year old and he did just a lift; no implants. Dr. Valin himself did my TT...and I can't complain about that either. He did a great job. He was doing a follow up surgery on me when I was about 7 months out from my WLS; I was already at goal so he did the skin removal on the tummy at the same time. Again, he did an awesome job. I can't complain about either one of them.
Good Luck!!
