Well, it looks like you are on your way!!! Like someone else said, keep on them to make sure you are in the class.  Rocky said it all and feels the same way I do, the class will be valuable and you will make some great new friends too! Hi, Paula and everyone!  I just was signed up for the April Options Class in Riverside for April 18. My time is at 10 AM.  Let me know if anyone from here will be there, too.  I would love to meet you!   Why do I think, the receptionist told me this is a 10 week class?  Shoot.  Now, I am reading and remembering it was 24 weeks.  My problem will be to complete the full 24 weeks.  I am job searching and not sure how I will be able to take time off on a new job.  Anyhow, nice to meet all of you.   I live in Moreno Valley and see there is a support group at the hospital.  Thanks for all the info. I have another question.  I went to orientation last October and am just now starting the classes.  In the meantime I have gained at least 30 lbs. (story of my life) What will happen?  Will I have to lose the 30 PLUS another 10 percent before surgery??

Hi Linda!  I am starting my classes on the 18th at 10 also!!!  So we can be support buddies    I   hope you are able to find a job and complete the 24 weeks, I, too am just about in the same position.  I've been off work going to school for medical assistiing, and now my doctor wants me off school/work because of some issues I'm having (I'm bipolar, and have a tendency to have panic attacks in the worst places).  Anyway, I don't know about that whole lost 10 % thingy, I'm sure we'll learn all about that in class.  Good luck, and I'll see you on the 18th!!

You don't have to start all over again, but you do have to make up that particular class... like if it's class #5, you have to find another class #5 to sit in on.  You can miss up to three classes but you have to make them up and if you miss 4 -  you're out and have to start all over on the waiting list.  I lucked out and a class opened up the day I had my orientation. Since we're expected to be there at the same time, I assume we sort of live close to each other... wanna meet up for coffee before class?  I'm in Corona...

I would love to meet for coffee.  I am in Moreno Valley, so I will be coming from the other direction.  My son and his wife just moved to Corona!  Small world.   I think there is a Starbucks nearby?  How long are the classes?  I did not take any information with me and I threw out all my old info.  Maybe afterwards would be better?   Anyone else going to that class on April 18?

Hmmmm... I'm not familiar with the Riverside area, but I'll do some research and find something before then.  I know there is a Starbucks at the 15 and Sixth street in Norco but that's TOTALLY out of the way.  I think the classes are an hour and a half.   I haven't heard of anyone else starting the same class, but have gotten a lot of positive feedback from those who have already gone.  You may want to start a new topic on the board asking other people... the only reason I see these posts and know that you wrote is because it showed up in my email because you replied to my post.  Sorry to say, but more than likely no one else is probably reading this particular thread because it's a little old... I'll get to researching that coffee location...

I'm still reading and very excited for you 2 to be able to do this together! I made some great friends in my class, one became one of my best friends, 4 of us became a group that went out to eat after every class and we've all had a reunion dinner around Christmas time and plan on doing it every 6 months at least!!!  Paula, you should drag her with you to one of our lunches!!! hugs, Becky
