Good Monday Morning Cali

Good Morning Cali and a Happy Memorial Day to all of you!    Today let us not forget the reason why we have the day off. A lot of brave men and women gave their lives so we can say we live in the land of the free. May they all be blessed.

What I am surprised about is that our valley has a parade for EVERYTHING and there is not parade today. I kind of heard on the news that there will be activites here and there today, but that was about it.

What do you all have planned for the day?

I have the kids coming over...now there is a big surprise eh? It is supposed to be in the 80's here so I want to catch some rays today and just kind of relax.  I never did get out on my bike yesterday....might this morning...just a might....the only thing I did do yesterday was errands of course....but I got to paint for nearly 5 hours yesterday!!! That made me a happy camper for sure! My former boss is getting married and he loves getting artwork from me....so I did another watercolor of the koi fish as he is a big fish lover like I am!

There is so much to catch up on on the boards. I feel like I have not been around enough to know what is happening....so I am going to read and post a shout out soon!!!!

I am headed off to work today, but I hope that you all have a good one!

Good Memorial Day Monday to you and the Crew Janine!                   May the good Lord bless our service men and women and their families today and always. We owe our lives and freedoms to the sacrifices they have made for us, in the past and currently. I'm having a nice holiday weekend and hope all the Cali Crew is as well!    Yesterday we had the family over for dinner and, as expected, the weather was partly cloudy and chilly. So, with a nice fire glowing in the fireplace, we grilled brats and cheddar smoked sausages.... on the George Foreman grill in the kitchen! LOL No one spent much time on the patio but we had a great time none the less!  This morning D and I are off to see Indiana Jones And The Crystal Skull and then, if the weather is better, probably come home and spend some time in the garden. Time for a refill on my coffee so I will sign off for now! Hope you all have a great day! (((((BigBearHugz)))))

      And a happy Memorial day to all of you......not alot planned for me today....just pampering myself this morning with nails and pedicure - then to CVS or Target to print my newest pictures off my camera....my 9 month post surgery pictures - a couple of them are now on my profile.  Plus trying to get OH to accept my new avatar... I wish all of you a great day - and I too say god bless all of our service men and women as well as all of the veterans (of which my dad is one)..... Oh and later today is a small BBQ with my sis and her family so lets hope for some sunshine.... Hugs to all

It is a beautiful day, and wonderful to enjoy the freedoms secured by our service people, past and present...my dad was one of them!

I'm taking a former student, current navy man, to breakfast in a bit...then having Dave and his mom here for lunch...

Good morning Janine and Cali! Yes - Bless our service people and thier families for the freedoms we have grown accustomed to. Please Cali, lets not forget the sacrifices. Yesterday was a blast at the Strawberry Festival. Sammi rode the pony, the swing ride and the elephants. She got her face painted and ate fresh strawberry shortcake. I also had a WOW moment. We went by this booth that had some really cute dresses and there was a purple tank top style with a semi open back and I fell in love with it. My mom asked what size a M. I'm like, uh - no Large please. We looked and looked, they didn't have the L. The lady working the booth came to see if we needed help and we showed her the dress and asked for L. She looked me up and down and said no - Medium! So I took my chances and bought the M. Yikes! (no place to try things on cause it's a street festival) When I got home, I tried it on and it FIT and its CUTE and I'll post a pic later. OMG!!!!!! Today is a rest day for me. I slept almost 12 hours last night and it felt good. I'm now debating on laying down on the couch for a nap! I may go get a pedi and depending on what time DH gets home from work, we may go see Indy. The in-laws are coming for dinner and that's the day in a nut shell. OK Cali, enjoy your day and please do take a moment to remember the true meaning of this holiday. Sue

Morning all.... Missing Mike BIG time today.  Just a hard day, I think just a combination of a lot of things. Anyway, I think it is going to be a PJ day, don't feel like doing anything. Love to all, Vicki

Chilling today. May take a drive in the TT, which I never take out. Need to stop in at "the Macy" for a pair of cropped leggings for a dress I bought this past week. Other than that, going to Castelli's for their FAMOUS porkchops... did I say they've rolled back prices by 20 years today only? And, just getting ready for my Vegas trip next weekend.

My roomie was laid-off this week... bummer... may delay the Home Equity line I was going to tap into for plastics. I'm moving forward though with approvals... may delay the date though. I'm thin and healthy, I can live.
