Good Tuesday Morning Cali
Good Morning Cali and welcome to Tuesdays edition from the desert.
Yesterday was an absolutely beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuatiful day here. It was the weather that we live for down here! Although in the high 90's it was super dry and didn't feel really hot at all. I even wore a pair of pants yesterday....OMG yes pants! I even did over the weekend because Saturday morning was downright cold here...I mean in the mornings it has been in the 60's.....it is beginning to feel a lot like fall in the desert!
Okay teachers...gotta put this out there...I am in an observation year and I had to have a goal meeting with the AP who is observing me this year. With much trepidation I agreed to let her observe me (she requested) even though I have the right to say I want someone else to observe me.
Well since the subject I teach (art) is not a subject where you instruct each day, I have to play things by ear. She is open to that. Sunday I put together a very good powerpoint in color theory and asked her to come in at 4th period. She said she would if she could. Okay she shows up....sits at the back of the room....and then starts interrupting my teaching adding to something that she really does not know a lot about. She herself is a self proclaimed non art person.
So why am I telling you all this...I am somewhat offended, but put a smile on my face and let her make somewhat of a fool out herself because I had to correct what she was saying...not in a rude way, but in an accurate way. I asked my advanced art students if they had been in class where she observed other teachers...they said yes and I just asked their experience....they said the same thing I experienced....so it wasn't me...just her.
I guess I just want to know from the other teachers out here....have they experienced anything similar?
Okay enough on that one.......
I am concerned and I know all of you are about Monica and how she is doing. Anyone have any updated 411 on her?
Jeni let me tell you....kids are smart beyond their years when it comes to family and how they are treated by their parents. Tommy will survive you know that and all you can do is be there like you said when he needs you. I am just sorry he has to see this....my boys watched this with their sperm donor as they grew up and visited him....they are very sour on him these days and although painful for them....makes them even better dads themselves.
Kim in Fontana I am so happy for you that you got a date so quick...that is just downright awesome. I know when Suh did my surgery....OMG it flew quick!
Kim congratulations of getting a commission to knit a sweater...doesn't it feel great to know that someone wants something you created? Must see pics of the sweater when you are done! I was talking to my friend this weekend about you because she and some people are starting a knit club back in Georgia and I told her about you.

Kim S.....wow take care of yourself and don't through that back out worse. I do not like getting massages for that same reason. I have a hard time with someone who hurts me and is insensitive to how tender I am...and there is no way that I have had anything done since I had all the reconstructive surgery....I think I would go besserk if someone hurt me. I only let my son pick me up and shake out my spine...I know sounds weird, but it helps! It is like having vertical traction! LOL
Rhonda....I sure hope that things turn around for you and your family soon. I am sure it is hard getting back into the work force. How are you going to do the home schooling thing if you have to go back to work? Will your husband do it? Wow tough times, but I know like you said you have to give it up and know that the man has a plan. Will keep you in my prayers....and good on you hiking!
Jodi I am glad to see you posting. You are missed around here. I know that it is hard with your hands....just poke your head in here once and a while and let us know you are okay!
Lu Lu I hope Fresser does get along with the other dog....most likely will unless it is a stupid female boxer like Maggie who thinks she is miss alpha dog! How is your back doing?
Steve glad you had a good weekend...you sure deserve to have a great one doing what you love...gardening....I bet things look great around the Steve and D pad!
Scott I just got your message when I got home yesterday. I do not know when you called because my phone has been acting weird and I have not been getting alerts to messages and even when I check there is nothing there. I hope school is going well for you and good on you with the bike and all the exercise. I bet you are looking good dude!
Lola I do not know why you are so tired, but you know between the overload you have with work and the stress of starting on a journey that is beyond your wildest dreams can be part of the reason...don't ya think? I am really proud of you taking this on.....you're a way better person than I!!! Love you put up your new pic with your partner in running...I think that is who is in the pic with you!
Liz how is it rocking in your world? Did you get your next to Chuck best friend fixed? I will be looking forward to hanging with you after the bike race thing here in PS again...that was fun!
Becky...how did the thing at the gaming commission go yesterday? Did things pass and we can say...OMG Becky is a working woman again? I sure hope so!!! Keeping everything I possibly can crossed and saying those prayers!

Janel...sounds like things are moving right a long with the move. It is cool that you are decorating for the fall....my mom always decorated the living room for the seasons. It was kind of cool! Hope that soon you are going to be able to manage without the wound care person and you get back to whatever is normal in your life! Love the new board pic too!
Josie....when is your class reunion? I bet you are going to have a blast going. I have never gone to a class reunion, but maybe at the 40th one I will go....have a few years that! I have been in contact with a couple from high school on that Classmates. com....it is kind of cool, but never really had the ties with anyone because I had gone to a school out of my zone! I am sure you will look killer good at the reunion!
Renee....how is your head doing? I am really sorry that you had such a migrane that would land you in the ER. I am sorry you suffer from them!
Sue...where you be girl? I know you have been hit and miss posting....I know we get busy, but I miss you around here! Give Missy Sammi and big smooch from her board grammy!!! Sorry you have to get rid of your dog too....that is hard, but it is cool that you can keep Kandy in the family!
Lauren Marie...how is your back doing? You when you put into perspective of what you lost and you start comparing it to like the bag of litter or your niece...doesn't it just blow you away to think you were carrying that on your body? Keep up the great work!
Kelly....how is it going? You sure work a lot. Are you going to the convention....you know I might now recognize you at all without your doggie in the pic!
Naomi...you sure got that one right about the 4 more days....I would say I live for the weekends.....but I have to work this weekend too!
Linda I sure hope you get a break from all the family issues....I know very stressful and hard. We are praying for you that things work out with your daughter. I am just so sorry you have to deal with all of this...very painful to watch.
Lisa I bet your were a huge help to your bf on Sunday with the computer stuff...wish I could have recovered my files on my own...cost me a hundred and ten bucks to have it down....but they got 4 cds of info off my dead computer!

Well now that I wrote a small novel....I think that I am going to try and get a bit more sleep! 4 a.m. comes a bit too soon!!!

So, I feel much better after today's events. When the lady was fingerprinting me I asked her if I should bring bankruptcy papers and things like that to my apptment on Wed. and she said yes. She asked me what department I was going to be working in and when I told her Players Club, she said "you will be fine"!!! Whew, talk about big time relief
So, today's events there took about 2 hours then I had to do the Gaming application online!!! Can you say HOLY HELL!!!! I have NEVER had to work so hard to get a job!!!! It took me 4 hours to fini**** all and I had to call everyone in my family and several friends to get the info I needed. They want to know EVERYTHING about EVERYONE in your life!!!! lol
So, on Wed. at 1:30 I go to go over it all and explain anything that needs explaining and bringing in some proof of things. I don't know if I will know after that appointment if I passed or not. I sure hope so!!!
I got fitted for my uniform today too. Size 20 top (I use to be a size 5X)!!!! I have to buy my own pull on pants, can't do zip and button till hernias are gone!! Took pictures for our badges too (darn, my haircut is tonight!)
All in all it was a good day and I'm feeling more optimistic about it all!

Yappers, Fresser was a bit shy, but after a bit of time, they where all hanging out without a problem. We even left them so we could go for lucnh. I am soooo happy that things are going to be ok with them and that she can stay there with them and not here alone. There was a bit of tense seconds but only seconds, and not anything else.
So this is going to be good.
That is about my whole day yesterday. As for my back. Well, it hurts but I live with the pain, I am a bit depressed about not being able to run, or ride my bike or golf or bowl, and no swimming, but I can relax in the pool. So what is left? I can't beleave how hard that no running i****ting. What a whimp!

Work is going to be a bit stressful today. The CHP is coming in to do the BIT Inspections....that means going through my personnel/medical files making sure that we are in compliance with the DOT. I think I am ready as I can be, 
but it's always a bit nerve racking when someone is double checking your work! So I guess it's kind of like you Janine, having some one watch you work! lol

Today will be a busy day. It is pt clinic and then new pt seminar tonight.
Today is at the a big day for Phillip (my son) he has a job interview at the other hospital here in town for a full time phlebotomy job. Everyone say a little prayer for him it would be a full time job with benefits. He is currently working full time but not in a a benefited position. He is 23 and we can no longer cover him on our insurance.
The bike is still in the shop they are waiting to get a new shifter for her and it has not come. The good news is my new pedals came in so I will be able to use them on my ride this weekend once I break them in.
Well, need to light a fire under Lindsey, school starts in 30 minutes for her.
I too look forward to seeing you guys again after Palm Springs.
Well, need to scoot.

School is going great this firday is the end of the first class and its looking like an A for this month, One month down 7 more to go then i will be looking for a job as a medical assistant.. The bike seems to be getting easier, still taking about 30 min to the gym from the house.. I have an apt at the gym today to take my body messurements and check my body fat... Keeping my fingers crossed..

Here I am - just been kind of busy so not posting as much.
Janine - the CABI clothes are a little pricey but they are such good quality and wash up great. I got 2 v-neck T's and a wrap T, a reversible skirt (that my sis and I can share) and an awesome black sweater - long with pockets and so so so soft.....hey it was alot of $$ but I'm worth it right?
So for me today is low key....not sure what is on my agenda. I did make a Kohls run yesterday and got a couple of great clearance items (OMG most of my 16 pants/capris are getting to big) so I picked up some 14's (which is still mind boggeling to me).
Once again Janine you do the best shout outs....and I sure hope we locate that mystery box soon.....dang it - it was getting so close to me....but I am looking forward to the xmas one....
Ok well my coffee is done and the paper is here so I guess its time to go in the other room and do my morning routine....
