Heartburn won't go away

Prevacid everyday still i am suffering from heartburn.  Spoke to dr. but i don't like his "its normal" answer.  3 weeks post op.....does anyone else suffer from heartburn.  I had heartburn during my pregnancies and it went away.  How do you know when something gets stuck versus heartburn, I'm on pureed what could get stuck.  I am so tired of the heartburn!!!!! UGHHHHHH

I take nexium and it works wonders for me. Check and make sure your not drinking things that are too acid. Like cyrstal lite would kill me if it wasn't for Nexium. Prevacid never did a thing for me.
See if your Dr will switch it for you. Or chew on tums.

U may want to ask him to scope you. I had heart burn all the time and found out I had an ulcer.

Don't let him diss this .... because i have heartburn and now have developed barrets esophagus.. ( pre cancerous condition) all post RNY... It needs to be tended to

Nexium is my best friend ...she sit's on my night stand she is the first thing to pass my lips when I wake up ...wait ONE hour then procedd with day...ONE day I forgot to get her refilled and OH that was NOT a good day ...I do have a Hiatial hurnia so I am sure thats what makes it bad but Dr said to much work to fix it but he is going to fix my little one she is causeing me MAJOR pain... I am sick of living on lortab again Ikkkkkk
