Anyone's surgery done by Dr. Guilherme Campos?
Hi Laya,
Dr. Campos did my surgery (roux-en-y) on 6/16/08. I have nothing but good things to say about him, the doctors who work with him, and my experience at UCSF for my surgery. Dr. Campos can seem a bit distant but I've found as he gets to know you better, he can warm up if proded just a little bit. The doctor who works with him that I see most often on post op visits (Dr. Campos always checks in but doesn't always do the full visit) is Dr. Rene Ramirez and he goes beyond great to fantastic. I felt very well cared for. I attend the support group every 3rd Wed. of the month (6 pm - more details if you want - let me know). Dr. Cello and Dr. Rogers do the support group along with David Besio the Nut. Dr. Campos does the early morning orientation groups so he doesn't attend the support group.
Hope this helps. I can answer more specific questions if needed. Let me know.
Pam
