Mervyns is closing...

Good Riddence Mervyns!  My auntie worked there for over 30 years and they screwed her and all of their full time employees ROYALLY!  Took away their benefits, their sick leave, vacation time.. so they get what's comming to them!  yay karma!
 
But sadly, it's one of the few places you can still find a wonder bra!

I worked for Mervyn's corporate in their marketing dept. Target dumped them as soon as Kohl's got their Shiot together. Target sold them about four years ago. State by state Kohl's knocked Mervyn's out. I left there over five years ago, the new team they had in place were a bunch of nasty biotches... seriously nasty group who brought Mervyn's down. I'm glad I hopped out early. When Target owned Mervyn's it was a dream job... ah corporate life... then the turn for the worse.

KOHL'S has bumped them out of not only California but the entire country for good. KOHL'S is way better than Mervyn's at least for the past five years.

Wow guys, thanks for the concern for the folks who work for Mervyns who are losing their jobs. 

My oldest son works there.  He finally left home to move in with roommates this February.  He has been an amazingly hard worker and great with customers.  He had decided to go back to school a couple of weeks ago - now that will have to wait again and he'll have to come home to live without a job.  Most importantly, his morale is in the toilet. 

This is a great reminder to me (and others) to think of the little guys when something like this happens for sure.
