Romie needs a roomie for the L.A. Event

Anyone else been thinking about attending, but not finalized their plans?  I bought my ticket to the event and reserved a room, but haven't booked airfare and have been kind of stalling as I haven't located a roommate.  I'd be flying out of either Oakland or San Francisco, and arriving at either Burbank or LAX (looks like they are about equally distant from the hotel). 

If you are planning to attend and would like to share a room at the Kyoto Hotel (site of the conference), please let me know.  Thanks.

I wish you could go, too.  How about another week off work?
It's been so long since I've seen you.  I don't read the Cali board very often, mostly the VSG board, and just went back reviewing your posts and profile to catch up.  Wow, a lot has happened!!!  It looks like you made a career change, moved, reached 100 lb weight loss mark, and had plastic surgery.......with unfortunate complications.  It is a good sign that you are well enough to return to work now.

I met Dr. Quiroz 2-1/2 years ago at a conference in Seattle, and have actually gone to visit his clinic twice since then when I've been at other LapBand conferences in T.J.  I thought I would probably go to him if I ever lost enough weight to need plastics.

I've had nothing but problems with my LapBand for the last year, and it needs to be removed now.  "Our" bariatric surgeon and I have parted ways.  Let's just say he was of no help to me once I started having band problems.  I've since changed to a surgeon at SSF.  However, I may go outside Kaiser for the revision surgery that I want.  If I have to self-pay for that, I probably will not be able to afford PS anyway.

It was good to hear from you.  I am glad that you are well on the road to recovery now, and wish you a less eventful future.
