Update and big news!!!!
Shells:
Congratulations on your engagement. I am so happy that, at least for now, you and your partner can experience what is is to truly be married. My girlfriend and I have no plans for that yet, but I am truly hoping that this right stays for us, and that when we are ready, we can promise our lives to eachother, in love and in law, in front of our friends and family.
This is a monumental time in your life. I wish you all the best.

Hi, Shells -
I'm so happy about all of your good news. I'm in San Jose, so I'd love to get together for coffee sometime. 110 pounds total - that is awesome! I already gave those clothes away - they wouldn't fit you anymore anyway!
The job sounds great. Hopefully they extend the contract once they figure out how desperately they need you!
Anyway, I am so excited for you and Chris. I wish I could be there to see you get married, but I have another committment - an open house where I will be trying to get folks to sign up for a quilting class. That's right, I'm branching into teaching quilting, with my first class in two weeks. The open house is at another quilt store where they are kicking off their schedule for the new quarter, and if anyone signs up, I'll be teaching in Feb. I remember you said you quilted a little, didn't you.
Carol
