Good Sunday Morning Cali
I honestly have no idea why I am up this early as I should be flat on my face asleep...or something like that.
I would love to sit here and type a shout out to you all, but I cannot as my fingers are so badly cut from yesterday. When I took a shower last night, I could hardly stand even the water hitting them and even my lotion stung like crazy in all the cuts. I even had to use the kitchen shears to open a bottle of water....I can't grip!
I do want to say thank you to all of you....you all have been such a great source of support to me. I am majorly grateful and words are really inadequate.
Have a great day everyone....it is a beautiful fall day out here and I am sure it is where you are!
“When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.” –Peace Pilgrim (1908-1981).
WOW! I feel so bad for you and your fingers. Hey Janine, I was wondering if you had a picture of the teacher you doing all this hard for work. I feel like I should know her since we have been watching your work on the placement of the tiles with such love. I have seen the picture of her family, and you may have posted one of her, and I just missed it. So when you have the chance and if you do have a picture of her, can you share it?
No much going on with me today, Just working. My back seems to be doing better with a lot less pain. Sometimes if I move wrong it reminds me, but evern that is less. But by the end of my shift, my back is just to tired it hurt all the way up my back and down my legs. Not the same kind of pain it has been, just tired. Like I have been working doing hard labor all day. When I get home and I am able to relax, it relaxes and the pain goes away and when I wake up in the morning, its darn near pain free. After that frist few steps. So I guess, following the doctors orders is really helping. LOL. Who would have thought so??
Here is your reminder: Are you taking your vitamins?
Some info about Vitamin D....
Technically not a "vitamin," vitamin D is in a class by itself. Its metabolic product, calcitriol, is actually a secosteroid hormone that targets over 1000 genes in the human body. Current research has implicated vitamin D deficiency as a major factor in the pathology of at least 17 varieties of cancer as well as heart disease, stroke, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, depression, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, muscle weakness, muscle wasting, birth defects, periodontal disease, and more.
Vitamin D's influence on key biological functions vital to one's health and well-being mandates that vitamin D no longer be ignored by the health care industry nor by individuals striving to achieve and maintain a greater state of health.
Sunshine and Your Health
If one regularly avoids sunlight exposure, research indicates a necessity to supplement with at least 5,000 units (IU) of vitamin D daily. To obtain this amount from milk one would need to consume 50 glasses. With a multivitamin more than 10 tablets would be necessary. Neither is advisable.
The skin produces approximately 20,000 IU vitamin D in response 20–30 minutes summer sun exposure—100 times more than the US government's recommendation of 200 IU per day!
There are 3 ways for adults to insure adequate levels of vitamin D:
- regularly receive midday sun exposure in the late spring, summer, and early fall, exposing as much of the skin as possible.
- regularly use a sun bed (avoiding sunburn) during the colder months.
- take 5,000 IU per day for three months, then obtain a 25-hydroxyvitamin D test. Adjust your dosage so that blood levels are between 50–80 ng/mL (or 125–200 nM/L) year around.
- I hope this helps you all to understand why we need vitamin D and how its helps our bodies. Its take less then a second to pop a pill. SO DO IT!!
Love ya all
Thank you for your support, and understanding.

I do hope your hands are on the mend soon. Yesterday was one of the best I have had in terms of my tummy. I do have a burning pain that is new and I am a bit concerned about but I have to believe I am on the road to recovery. I just mostly feel bad that I can't do more for Jordyn. On top of that her dad has pneumonia (sp) and can't come around her. Are we a pair or what?
Everyone enjoy the day.

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends!
Janine, The mural looks just beautiful! I am so sorry about your hands, you poor thing! I hope they heal quickly for you.
The RV saga continues: lol Yesterday we were suppose to have the fence on the RV pad "flipped" around so the saggy part was on the neighbor's side but guess what? The guy said he could do what his Company proposed but he said the retaining wall would most likely need repair in another 2 years......so Ugh!!! We are talking a LOT more $$$. In any event, we are getting a 2nd opinion this morning!
We also went out and bought our little flat screen for the trailer and blankets......this week I will go and get all of the little incidental's. our first trip out will be on Halloween, going down to the Sacramento Delta near Rio Vista. I got a Waterfront space and now we hear it's suppose to rain all weekend! Oh well!!! So we watch rain fall on the River while we watch movies!
It just keeps on getting better don't it? hehehehe
Today my hubby and I are going to lunch with some great friends and then to a movie, I am so looking forward to this! Although I have hardly slept at all last night....My brain will not shut up!
Had a great night last night. Went out with a couple girlfriends. It was my dear friend's best friend and I, and the 3 of us have never been out together. We had a blast! We went to a fun little Cuban restaurant in Walnut Creek called Havana...they serve Tapa style, and are famous for their Mojitos..............

They were yummy, so I just had to have 2!! then we walked around downtown Walnut Creek, which is so quaint. After that, we were walking by Tiki Toms a very roudy and noisy bar, and right above it we saw a sign that read, "Foot Massage $25 for 40 mins." I tell you, it was like heaven. The place was very clean, and I felt comfortable being there. After that it was home, chatting, and then off to bed. It was just a fun night, good for the soul.
Today, I'm making pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, and then my friend is coming over and helping me move my couch to the new place, and the gal I've been renting my spare room to is moving out today, so I get a few days with my place all to myself!!! I cannot wait, even though it's almost empty, I have my bed, my big ol' overstuffed chair, my People magazines, and my TV.....all I need in life......

Have a wonderful Sunday!
