Good Sunday Morning Cali

I am told that in the building of the Taj Mahal, children workers (read: slaves) cut  and placed tile until they no longer had fingers. I digress:

I am thankful this morning because my 17 year old boy came home seemingly sober  from an all night electronic music concert at the LA Sports Arena. All night...it ended at 4AM. Crazy. He seemed to have a good time when he came home at 7.

We will take Fargo to Central Bark to dance with the other "wolves" in the area. **Make that latte a vente this morning, Mr/Ms Barista.**

My 28 year old step daughter is visiting today after being MIA for a couple months. Her Nana died then and was very confused about her role in the whole drama of that side of her family and we had not heard from her since. I wonder what she will bring to us today. She is trying to qualify for a union card in her special FX makeup work, and 4 years ago we told her we would pay the initiation and first year's dues if she did it. She is dangerously close and, as it figures, she may get it right when we can afford it least. sigh.

Hub wants crab cakes and hush puppies for dinner. Sounds good. I will make a cole slaw to go with it. I will eat my cake, pup and slaw then crash with the inevitable dump that will go with it. LOL

To think before 4 crab cakes would have been an appetizer. I feel blessed today.

how is everyone doing?  i'm a little sleepy this morning,, i'm real excited to see some houses today.. we're getting one house handed to us but we got to see it first... and it's right down the street from my sister.. that would be totally awsome.. we are headed out this afternoon to see the houses... i got more packing to do today just trying to get everything into storage.. well i guess it's time to get moving.. everyone have a great day..

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

Janine take care of those fingers.  I hope they feel better soon.  As for me, I survived my six mile run yesterday, despite my knee pain.  I think I have runners knee and I'm sure it doesn't help that I have been carrying around an extra 180 pounds (that's a person).  I will survive the pain.  The runs kick my a$$ in terms of being tired.  I came home, ran some errands and took a 3 hour nap with my lil man.  We got up went to the mall for a bit and were both sound asleep by 11:30.  I was pooped. 

Today, I am working out with the trainer and than will spend some time in the hot tub at the gym.  Lil man is going with his dad for the day.  I wi**** wasn't Sunday as I am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.  Work is full of drama right now and I DO NOT like it.

Good morning everyone!

I'm getting ready to go to work for Day Six ... OT! Day One was OT as well ... We just got paid on Friday and my check sucked, but the next one should be HHHUUUUGGGE!

As you can imagine, and as I said on a post yesterday, I am exhausted. I still have a little head cold, too, but it's nothing major. They were talking about me going in tomorrow, too, but I'm thinking that's gonna be a BIG FAT NO! I think tomorrow is going to be Lie On the Couch and Watch TV in My Pajamas Day.

Janine, it's Sunday! Please, take naps! Rest! I can picture what your fingers must look like and I imagine it is NOT a pleasant feeling. But I can also imagine that you're feeling SO GOOD right now and you would do it again in a heartbeat.

I feel like I am so behind on everything in life ... I am looking forward to getting some rest after today and until I go back to work on Thursday.

Right now I am going to have a meeting with the blowdryer. And try to figure out what I am going to eat today, because I am desperately in need of groceries.

Hey girlie - what happened?  I am so sorry to hear that you tweaked your fingers.. That isn't good - especially for you!  Can't paint... can't write.. can't ride.. UGH!

Good morning Janine and California!

Once again, I have to say how lovely the mural turned out!  I hope I'll be able to meet you and see the mural when we're down south next weekend!

We got the new freezer and will be loading it back up from neighbor's freezers we had food stored in as soon as it's up to temperature.  The old freezer is off to the dump as we speak. :-)  One more problem down.  Next up, the septic tank.  We have a lot of roots to cut out on top and on the sides of the tank.  At least it's working again.  The plumber was able to get enough of a flow we can wash dishes, shower and flush! LOL  One thing at a time and it will all get done.

Janine, I truely hope the mural makes national news somehow this year.....it would be so cool to see the article and say....hey, I know her!!!
I am still in water weight limbo 6 days post op RNY.  I feel great except emotionaly I'm still bummed...I've been listening to my peers and just waiting it out.  On the plus side, no pain, no appetite, just the normal need for fluids as hydration and nutrition.  I move as much as I can and then some...still swollen in the tummy...look 9 months preggers..lol  Sleeping great!!!  I developed a touch of phlebitis in my IV site that had to be changed due to a clot...advice nurse says just keep an eye on it and be sure to let surgeons office know tomorrow.  I have my 1 week post-op on Tue. Staying home from church today....too scared to hug all those people..lol  God Bless and have a good Sunday everybody

Today is a do nothing day forme. I did too much yesterday and now my back is telling me so!
