What's for Dinner??
Tonite for dinner I am going the easy route! I have those litle bacon wrapped steaks from Costco (I pull the yucky bacon off mine) I am going to season them up with some dude dust (of course) and some garlic hickory seasonings and pair it with a nice green salad with cucumbers, avacado, walnuts, goat cheese, carrots, and apple slices adn a basalmic vinegrette! If you cant' tell, I bought the big tub of salad greens at Costco too! hehehehe so we've been eating lots of salads!
What's everyone else having for dinner???

Chili with beans and meat. 10 gm protein in my 3/4 c serving. Cheese on top brings that up a bit.
I need some ideas for protein that is easy to make, easy to eat and will stay down. My butt's dragging, I'm tired all the time and I know I'm not getting enough protein in. I have blood work to be done next week and it'll show I'm low in iron..............
Devil eggs go down, taste good and stay down, but if I eat too many of those I'll lose friends quickly and get fired from work!!!!!

For me, scrambled eggs wtih cheese and spinach was a lifesaver! It's got the protein, and the spinach adds the iron! Plus it was easy to make and I love eggs!
I would mix crab and cottage cheese and add just a little bit of ****tail sauce for flavor.. but be careful.. lots of sugar.. I would do the same with shrimp.. or else I would mix it with f free cream cheese and put it on a low carb cracker.
I tried mixing protein powder in cream of wheat.. but the protein powder made me gag.. I'm very anemic and I know cream of wheat is very high in iron!!!
This is still one of my favorite snacks, turkey lunch meat, with swiss cheese, spinach and mustard... just roll it and eat!!!!
I think it's pretty normal to feel extremely tired at 7 weeks out. This surgery is a huge adjustment for your body! It's not use to getting so few calories. I remember I started to get a little energy back at 3 months!
If I think of some good early out recipes.. I'll pass them along!
Good luck and keep on trying!!!!

Then with the left over eggplant I tried making something new. I did layers of eggplant, mushrooms, cheese, zucchini, ricotta, then topped it off with marinara sauce and cheese on top. I'm not sure how it will taste. I am going to eat it for breakfast, lol.
