SSF Kaiser People??? Hello?? Anyone?? I'll take Fremont too...

Yes it's 4:29 AM and I'm awake listening to the sweet sound of rain falling! Wahooooo we finally got some rain in the Bay Area!

Ok, on to what I wanted to post about...

I'm looking for any fellow South San Francisco Kaiser Patients. I know that there are plenty of Fremont Peeps on here and you all are great!!! I'd like to see if there's anyone who has been through the program with SSF or are currently enrolled. I have some questions...

1) Will they preform the VSG?
2) Do they have the 6 month class requirement?
3) Have you met any of the three surgeons yet?
4) What's the Bariatric staff like?

So far that's all I have to ask... I'll be back with more questions.

I am a Kaiser SSF person and I love it!! 
I am with the Band.  I have heard rumor that they were having a few vsg surgerys but can't honestly say!
the Bariatric staff and surgeons are so wonderful, non judgemental and kind.

Yes they have classes that you must attend, and at first I thought damn this isn't fair, waste of time, etc.....................Was I wrong!!  I have learned so much about the process, the feelings and what to expect that it has been a great process for me.

How long ago did you have your surgery?

I actually got up and called them this morning and they confirmed they are now offering the VSG or the Gastric Sleeve as they call it. They just started it recently. Wahooo I'm happy. Also, my Mother called as well to schedule an appt with the nutrionist and asked about the mandatory classes and she said they said that they weren't mandatory anymore, they're there if you want to attend.

Tuesday is coming faster than I thought... I can't wait!!!

I had Surgery at SSF in May.  I had Dr. Li.  From the first appointment I had till surgery it was about 9 months.  I don't know about which surgeries they do I know they do RNY and Band but beyond that I am not sure.

Loved the Staff and the care.  Not sure if that helps or not.
