I just wanted to let you  know I know exactly how you feel and I reacted the very same way. I had gotten through 10 of the 12 steps that were required by Kaiser when my husband's employer switched insurances with no warning. I cried for days, but then got proactive about it and it turned out ok. Just keep calling and explain the problem with the surgeon. I know of many people who had theirs pushed up for the same reasons. I know this sounds cheesy but if you do happen to wait another 14 months just think of how much you will appreciate it in the end! I have a question. How is it that any insurance company could possibly call obesity a pre-existing condition? I would first call the new company , then call the surgeons office and get a little pushy if need be, The squeaky wheel gets the grease!!
