Banana? Applesauce?
Hi! I'm looking for the SPEEDY reply, and I KNOW I'll get that here!
If I puree (and add milk) can I have banana? 10days out? If Jello is on my "ok" list, is Applesauce?
I'm just a little BORED with water, soupy mash potatoes, protein shots and Boost.
If I have to be patient, I will! I just wondered. I can't seem to find a real comprehensive list of whats allowed in the liquid phase. For instance, they are recommending Dannon Lite n Fit Smoothie, but that thing has like 17g sugar! I'm avoiding THAT like crazy!
Thanks all for your fast answers!

Yogurt (no added sugar) Applesauce NO sugar,I wouldn't do any banana yet. Protein shakes that you make your self Boost is full of crap as is Ensure. If you would like I will e mail you a bunch of protein shake recipes that are reall good.soft boiled or pouched egg. I never did full liquid. My plan was liquid to pureed to soft moist food. If I can be of any help PM me. Cream of Crean soup,or muchroom.

Good Morning Dalis
If the food plan hasn't changed since I had surgery 4 years ago, applesauce is Stage 2 (weeks 4 to 6). Bananas are not allowed until Stage 3 (6 weeks)
Here are a couple of things I did to get through the liquid stage:
Instead of just plain soupy mashed potatos, add a little strained cream of chicken (or whatever kind you like) soup. It makes them much more flavorable.
Look for Carb Master yogurt. I find it at Ralphs and it is very good and low in carbs and sugars.
Hang in there and follow the food plan to a "T". It is rough going but will be over before you know it and the results will be amazing.

also, when making mashed potatos, try some Dry Ranch Dressing mix in the potatos. It adds a differen t taste. You can also put ranch seasonings on veggies before you make then.

Have a FBAUUUUUUUUU night!!
