Its Whacky Weigh In Morning here
I will play today. I have been making a conscious effort to stick to mostly proteins and I am down 6 lbs from 2 weeks ago. It is now simply vanity that makes me want to lose down again to a size 6 or 4, which I figure is about 15 - 20 more lbs. When I wore a 0 for a few months there, I weighed 125ish if I remember right, but everyone told me I looked like a concentration camp victim, so skinny and sunken in cheekbones. Just like Sue said, finding the happy medium

Hi, Janine and Cali peeps! I'm down two pounds from last week. I'm also wearing a brand new size large teeshirt, and it looks really good - just the right amount of looseness around the midriff etc. I had put aside some new teeshirts from the Humane Society in the beginning of the year, before I had my surgery, and said that someday they were going to fit - and Hot Damn, they do!
Today is my six-month surgiversary! I can't believe it. I worked at a school on Friday and Saturday where I know a lot of the folks, but haven't seen them since April. Two of the ladies didn't even recognize me until I got close. One finally recognized my eyes! Most of the others knew I'd lost a lot of weight ahead of time, since my friend works there and had warned them. It was a great feeling!

Good evening, Crazy Cali Crew!
I went to see my PCP today, and got on the scale for the first time in a month (I think I've mentioned that I broke my scale) ...
I've lost 17lbs since the last time I went to see her, which was October 2nd. Grand total?
109 pounds gone since surgery!
I am in awe ... Amazed ... Proud of myself ... And feeling more and more motivated.
I'm still shrinking out of my clothes - even the new ones I've had for only about two months or so - and I cannot wear my old clothes AT ALL anymore. Yesterday I wanted to wear an old shirt because I figured it'd be comfy and keep me warm (I am ALWAYS cold now!), but as soon as I looked in the mirror I took the shirt right back off. I looked FRUMPY! That's not something I ever used to care much about, but I do now!
I'm still incredibly self-conscious, and getting used to this different me is not easy ... I imagine it'll sink in at some point ...
