My heart goes out to all the people effected by these fires, I cannot believe how many are burning right now.  From Montecito down to OC, it's so so sad. :(

Stay safe everyone.

We left home (and Sylmar smoke) for a bday party in Fullerton.  We pointed out to the family that Yorba Linda lookd on fire.  P's bro lives there.  They EVENTUALLY evacuated and arrived at the house.  Friends also drove in from Hemet before the 91 was closed.  (I personally would have turned around.)  Since bro's house is next to Chino Hills park, we finally saw his neighborhood this morning.  All was saved.  But you can never feel totaly safe with the winds.

My heart n Prayers are for all who are effected.

I'm glad his house made it, it's so scary how things can change so quickly with the winds.  It's so awful.

I have many friends in Santa Barbara/Montecito that have lost homes.  I used to live up there and go hiking and hang out where most of the damage is.  I just cannot believe it.

Fires make me so sad.  :(

I was just looking for a link to the fire maps. Anyone know what page to check?

Here's one for the LA times... looking for a more official one, as my husband is at Orange County's Emergency Operations Center today working because of the fires.

I've found the best source to be www.cbs2.com

There are interactive fire maps.  We're packed and ready to go.  We haven't been evacuated yet, and won't, until we get the official word... but we're ready, if we have to.

This is really, really scary.

I sympathize with everyone in the fire zones.  San Diego has been through this before and it is absolutely horrible.

Sending good thoughts.
