Good Monday Morning Cali
on 11/17/08 1:09 am - Vacaytown, HI
Sounds like everyone had a great time at Tom's Farm. My relatives did show and we had a nice time. They went home Saturday evening which allowed me to do nothing but be lazy and watch movies all day Sunday.
I was watching the TBS Station and I can't believe that they are putting Christmas movies on what I think is too early. What Happen to Thanksgiving?
Well I hope everyone has a great day and all you in SO Cali keep safe from all the smoke and fires.

There are so many things going on Next month that I can't decide which to do. There is the Event in San Ramon and we have things going on here with thhe Native Daughters of the the Golden West. Plus, I have surgery on the 10th...after that I won't be doing much of anything for about a month! But then I should be good for 6 + months

Well, everyone take care and have a great week!.

Good morning Janine and Cali!
I can not believe the devastation these fires are causing. Continued thoughts and prayers......
The migraine is gone thank goodness. It left friday then started getting another one Saturday. Took Maxalt right away and it did the trick. I can not seem to find where all the hours in the day go.....
We took Sammi to see Madagascar this weekend and she had no interest. She wanted to dance in the isle and go up to the top and see who was back there. We ended up leaving about a third of the way in. She was just too disruptive. It will be a while before we try another movie in the theater. She's just as happy to have movies at home. We also took her down to my uncle's to drive her car. She had fun doing that. DH is VERY ill. Tummy virus or something. He even called in sick to work and NEVER does that.
Sammi sends smooches back. I'm still bummed we missed TF. Hoping to make it to an event eventually.
Hope everyone has a great rest of the day.

LOL I am a maniac when we go into town. We usually go in once a month so I try to get everything done in one day.
I bought 2 pair because I'm learning to run and I was using leather street shoes and in February we're taking a racewalking class so I thought I'd start breaking them in too.
Today's tamer by far. I'm in week 2 of my run/walk transition. Run 2 minutes, walk one minute for 30 minutes. It's not to bad (she says with a surprised look on her face).
Crab season opened and the local fisherman brought some in so I'm off to get some crab for dinner. :-)
A friend of mine is having trouble swallowing pills so I'm giving her my liquid vitamins from the fridge. I've been taking chewables for a couple months now. I'm happy they'll go to good use. I can't stand throwing anything out. lol
Tomorrow we're off to Santa Rosa for a Red Cross all hands meeting to review what went right and wrong during Gustav. That will help us if/wen we have an emergency here in our little community. They're having a pot luck dinner too so I have to think of something to bring..hmmm still thinking on that one. Fish doesn't travel well and that's about all I've been eating for a week.
Have a wonderful day!

We had a friend come over from McKinleyville and brought a load of crab. The boys sat out in the driveway and cooked it and sold to the neighbors what they didn't eat. That stuff is NOT allowed in my house cooked, uncooked or however. The smell just won't go away. That's why the fridge in the garage gets so much use this time of year between crab, fish and pigs...........
I wish sometimes I actually liked sea food - but the only thing I like is sole, halibut, ling cod and other white fish with subtle flavors. Lobster, shrimp, crab hack-poooooie!
I didn't used to eat much fish..but it's the most bang for buck protein-wise, so I'm eating more.

Canned salmon is wonderful the way he makes it into salmon patties! Yumm. But, since there was no salmon season this year, we're out.
Next June I will be in a wet suit getting abalone! Hubby is getting 2 new dive knives for Christmas - one for each leg. Safety first!
