Good Monday Morning Cali

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to Monday! Only 4 more days until the weekend!

I swear the weekends are too short...although most everyone had a pretty good weekend. Tom'sFarm was the best as you all know.

Yesterday I spent the day almost literally after riding in the morning for a while on Shutterfly and literally wanting to through my computer through a window or maybe let me see...take a sledge hammer to it because even though I got nearly 400 photo's uploaded...I could not make the books. So I give Jeff my account info...he goes and gets on the site...mind you has a MAC (shut up Steve and Darlene LOL) and it works. I go to my new computer...and it works...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Well the upshot is... didn't kill this computer...yet and I have started working on books for my kids of my grandchildren for Christmas. I wish I knew about this sooner...Dr. Katzen turned me on to it.

I really hope that people who are affected by the fire are doing okay. I have not been able to catch it on the news as of yet, but those who had to skirt around it to get home from Tom's Farm surely got an eyeful.

Kim I am sorry your run got cancelled, but your health and everyone else's comes first. Are they going to reschudle the run?

Lola better safe the sorry...you have been pushing yourself a lot....it is not worth getting sick over and it is still way too hot for this time of the year.

Liz congratulations on your 4 year anniversary....hard to believe eh? Ironically my doc asked me when I had surgery last week and I am looking at him and going what surgery...and he gave me this dumb ass look like you should know....even though I do not forget...how could we...it is just hard to believe that time flys eh? You are a shinning example of how to live life after wls! You go girl!

Steve once again...thank you for all you do to get us all together. You surely deserved to get some much needed rest. I was surprised that we did not have higher winds than we did because our weather person forcasted it. It was super windy coming home around Beaumont and Banning and got to the desert and it was calm compared to there! Had a blast and always good to see you and Mr. D...you two are the best...did you get the pics I sent?

Jeannie Beanie...glad you got home alright...Doug I think knows his way around all over the place...he is a walking map. Did you post any pics yet? Where is that Diane and Jean pic eh?I was going to stop at Nordie's on the way home, but Mr. Hunterpants was a GROUCH! Cried and made noises from Riverside to home until about 2 miles from his house....mommy called daddy and that calmed hm right down...or was it the cell phone...that boy loves phones, computers and remotes...which btw he was in his walker when he got home and scored the remote that works...his dad says he knows the difference...he charged off with it laughing hysterically in that walker...I was laughing so hard myself I had tears in my eyes. He is quite the character when you get to know him.

Monica I guess you probably over did it coming out I would surmise.....I just loved meeting Jordyn even though she was her divaself....that is okay...I am a stranger and did not take offense. You look fantastic as I said and Mommy well she sure is a great lady...make sure you tell her I said that. She is a great grandma too!

So Rhonda...do I have a new smooch boy on my hands? I am cracking up with what you said Sean said...ah you are going to have to watch him...he is going to want older women when he grows up...my oldest son was in love with one of my friends....it was too cute! Play date would be cool and we will arrange it...I think it would be great for Hunter and Ava too.

Naomi and Heather both....stop blushing and eat it up girls...you deserve the compliments. You rocked your tools and completed this phase of your journey....you both really deserve all the kudo's.

Heather I do hope that your doc is not upset with you for over doing it on Saturday....you will be glad to get rid of your balls....ugh!

Maureen you have the greatest stories I must say. Hope you are feeling better and you have to watch those dressings...sometimes they kill ya!

Linda I feel so bad for you that you are still having trouble with the pouch....are you going to call the doc again? PLEASE!!!

ChattieDebbie...good to see you post! Don't beat yourself up about not getting much exercise....walking the dog counts for sure! I try and look at things as the cup half full and at least you are not just sitting around on the couch anymore...right?

Jen....one month already? WOW!!! You know I use to have to toast things really crunchy for it to go down otherwise it would stick in my pouch. Just be careful with that and the bread stuff. You keep on rockin that band girl!

Barb...I play WII over at my son's house one day...what a friggin blast that was! I want one, but I was thinking about getting one for my other son for Christmas myself. I think it is so cool that you play a sax...like I said I always wanted to play one, but I do not think I could add one more thing to my plate these days. Besides I had a hard time learning to play a guitar when I was many moons younger LOL! But like you said...great stress reliever and doesn't contribute to the waist line!

Jan...OMG you wear me out with your excursion!!! You are a maniac!!! LOL I am glad you had such a great day andwhat is with the shoes...are they just running shoes or something even more special? Okay time for nap after reading about your day LOL!

Katt looked cute in your new dress. You did a great job of organizing the clothes. I wish I had thought to bring some stuff....although this past year I gave a lot of stuff away. My dil was cute...I did bring some 10's and I wound up giving them to her because she said that would be her new goal. She has tried really hard with her weight....it is hard as we all know. Hope you had fun at the party.

NrseMeMe...how was the Bond movie? I have not gotten to the movies for awhile. Doesn't seem like there is much out there unless I am just clueless!

Speaking of movies....Sue did Sammi like the movies? Did you all have a great time? How are you feeling and I surely hope you have been absent from the boards because you have been busy and not down with a migraine. Give my Sammi girl a smooch for me!

Hey Jess...glad you had a good time even though it wasn't the best. I like going to comedy things...use to in the bay area when I lived there....but I do not think there is a comedy club here per se...well they have shows at the casino's....not into that...hate the smoke!

Nikki I am glad your car did not take a poop on you on the drive up...too bad you could not have hitched a ride with Becky. I know stuff happens and I was super disappointed you did not make it, but when it is the right time for us to meet...we will. Can't believe it is this week and the apron will be gone...can you say YAY????? How dem fur babies doing?

Joy I sure hope that you are feeling better. I feel so bad for you....just doesn't seem fair at all. I sure hope the docs can do something for you and get you repaired.

Chris S....how was your day at Costco? I have not read all the posts and I know you posted pics of your furbabies and how cute! Love cats, but my cat is ferrel and she does not like anyone but my boxer, Mickey....and she only loves him because he allows her to do kitty biscuits on him! LOL I love the Calico cats...they sure are pretty!

Well it is now 4...I have been here a while and it is time for me to get up and go to work or at least get ready for the day ahead. It is supposed to be in the 90's here once again today...would this weather just let up for heavens sake. Jeff said the other day that he did not remember it being this consitantly warm for such a long period...me either really.

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends!

Happy monday!!!  We had a good weekend, but like you said always too short.....

My FIL came down and he cut a foot off the awning on the RV side....looks great!  I felt bad because he was so sick but still wanted to get it done. He's a trooper!

I pray that you all are ok and that they get these fires knocked out today.... my heart goes out to everyone affected.

I start my new hours today at work.....early bird!

Ya I am glad I wasnt half way there and it konked out. I called Becky as soon as I knew and she had just arrived. I am still sad about missing it, but I know we will meet sooner or later, lol.
The fur babies and doing good. Bella still has gunky eyes, but it is resolving. They are both such purr and love babies. I am loving it!!
Ya Thursday I cannot believe it!!! I am excited, nervous, scared at times. Most of all I just want it over and done with!!! Let the healing begin!!
Oh well I should finish getting ready for work. I hope everyone has a good day even if it is Monday. Be good to yourselves and those around you!!!!

Yesterday was a total laze ball day for me.....did absolutely nothing other than clean up my front porch area to get all of the ashes off....then caught up on some DVR recorded programs and basically was a recliner potatoe. 

Today brings my pamper me day - nails and toes - then to Target to pick up my prescription and thats about it....

Tomorrow is babysitting day - so its a long and full day for sure.

well gang, just heard the man deliver my paper so its time to go get a fresh cup of java and read the paper......

Everyone have a great monday - stay safe and my prayers go out continually for all of those affected by the fires...

Morning Janine and Cali - Happy Monday!   Costco was really OK .. . not used to standing that long . . ..but couldn't even have done it a year ago!  Now consider putting 1oz portions of potato salad in 2 oz cups .. .and I went through 55 lbs!  Good grief!  Didn't even taste it - but people were happy and I hit my "quota".  That's all I need!

I hit 75 lbs down this morning . . . NEVER thought I would get this far!  Wahoo!

I love the Shutterfly books Janine.  I made them for both my grandbabies for their first year - and have done wedding books for people . . . they are fun - but sometimes that site can be touchy when it's really busy.

good morning janine and cali crew,
i've been hella sick all weekend i think i had the flu or something.. but it was hella on my pouch.. i couldn't eat and then i got sicker.. i do feel better today though thank god.
anyway i do have some packing to do today if i get the energy..we still haven't got a place yet to live and the time is going by fast. i only have til dec.31 for the absolute day to be out of here,, i'm so sad to move away from this old house though i've been her 10yrs.. but i am looking forward for a new life in modesto..
so anyway i hope everyone has a great day...

Today is going to be a good day I am sure.  I woke up to an email requesting me to go on a 2nd interview/observation meeting.  So I am pretty exited about that.  Gives me a reason to put on something cute.  Janine those pictures you sent me are fabulous!  I forgot to get you to get me a new Avatar picture, maybe next time?  So today is catch up on laundry day as I usually do 7 loads a day, I did not do any for 2 days so today is going to be tough to get it all in.   Oh well I guess it will get done sooner or later or I am going to have to teach my husband and a couple of the kids to do it.  I am just so picky with my laundry.  Well that is all for me for now.  Everyone have a blessed day and enjoy yourself and don't forget to do something nice just for you today.

Wow these fires are just something.  We were so shut up yesterday and everything is covered with ash.  Today will be clean up inside and out.  My dad is suppose to be arriving on thursday.  Thanks for the kind words and I will tell my mom.  She is one of the best.

Good MOrning all!  Thanks for the shout-out Janine!  With as many characters running around my house it's a wonder I don't have more stories!  I'm still working on my book tho.  How to raise happy healthy teenagers without killing them first!  Or something like that.  The title keeps changing.  I have a degree in English Literature with a minor in creative writing and a series of children's books that I haven't had published yet, but are read at a couple of local pre-schools.   And, of course, Jayden helps me with some of my newer stories.

Today Oscar the Groucy Pouchy and Gretta the Grouchy Gallbladder must be in cahooots!  Even water is making me yucky.  I just wish my parts could just get along!

Off to work.  I was relieving for one of the gals here so her work got all done but mine is backed up a bit.

Janine-thank you for the shout out.  You are right, my health and the health of others are far more important than running.  As of now, there is not a tentitive date scheduled.  That could change with the next 2 weeks.

Cali -- worked the body of the blue sweater that I am knitting, got a mini manicure, hung out at the expo in Pasadena, went to visit Monica's sidekick (John) in the hospital and went to JoAnn's in Torrance for some supplies. 
That is all with me.
