I am so close!!!
I just wanted to tell someone who understands how long this road has been and how good it feels to see the light at the end...
I completed my psych eval, my pre-op with my primary doctor, bloodwork, etc. All I need to do is drop off my paperwork from my pre-op appointment at my surgeon's office as soon as the bloodwork comes back. This will be no later than Tuesday! Then......I will be scheduled.
I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!
Thanks for listening.

I can appreciate how long this journey is for people. The process for me from start to finish was 3 years.
Congrats, and get ready for the ride of your life. Everything you are saying to yourself...like I can't wait until I can do...well it will happen and more.......

Thanks for the support everyone.
Today I went to my surgeon's office to drop off my pre-op paperwork. It was supposed to be my last step. The woman in the office looked at my bloodwork and said I was missing a bunch of stuff. I found all but one of the missing items when I looked at it. She was soooooo rude! "Well, you are still missing the hep panel, so just take this and bring it when it's complete," she said to me, shoving the papers back at me. I was devastated. I was all set to have finished my VERY last step...just waiting for my surgery date. I was in tears when I left the office. I went (down the street) to my primary care doctor's office and got it straightened out. The lab was not done with that panel and it will be ready tomorrow.
Sigh. I can't let the *****y woman in the office get me down. I have come this far. One more hoop and I am on my way.
I can't wait to be on "the other side"!!!

Ooooohh...I forgot the best part!
When I went back to my primary care doctor's office and explained the sitch to the receptionist, she asked which surgeon's office I had gone to. When I told her, she jumped out of her seat and said, "He was my surgeon! 2 years ago, gastric bypass! Best thing I ever did!" She went on and on and on...totally brought my spirits up.
It was great! Encouragement when I needed it most.
