Ouchy Pouchy
Awwww shades of 1999 for me. I was sick for almost a year off and on, finally when my hubby got pissed at the doctor and said she is sick did they find it out to be my gallbladder. Don't wait, if your doc don't do something about this, then go and see another one, or another, get something done about it, and not later now! It's s simple surgery and you will feel like the million bucks you deserve to feel like during WL.
Keep up posted,
Diane
When my gallbladder went South it was all of 4 days before they had it out!! And back then it was major surgery they didn't do it lap. back then and it wasn't outpatient I was in the hospital for 8 days. Although my gallbladder did rupture just as he was taking it out.
I just don't understand why they fart around for so long when they know in the end they will be taking the darn thing out!!
Honey, I hope they do something and do it fast. I know how much it hurts. I can't imagine what it is like with WLS to boot.

FRIDAY! That's ridiculous, don't they realize how pain you are in?
Linda,
I'm so sorry to hear you're still having pain. I had my gallbladder out about a month after my RNY. I remember having some right sided pain, and my surgeon wasted no time taking that puppy out. Hopefully, you get this taken care of soon and I agree, if you are in a lot of pain, go to the ER and force the issue. Take care!!

I'm so sorry for all these gall bladder issues ... I just have a quick question. Did you guys take the Actigall for three months after your surgery for gallstone prevention? My surgeon has me on pepcid twice a day and actigall twice a day to help my pouch heal and help prevent gall stones. I just hope they work!!
No. That was not part of my surgeons protocol. I did have an ultrasound of the gallbladder about 6 mos prior to surgery and at that time, everything was fine. I am taking prilocec OTC right now as advised by my GI doc after he had to do an endoscopy a couple of weeks ago to stretch the opening to my pouch. But it isn't helping with this.
Thanks for the support
