So......I've decided I need a new goal to strive for as I get lazy if I don't have one.  I've signed up for my first triathlon, and have convinced two other OH'ers to join me.  Hee hee!

Liz, Monica P, and I will be doing the Tinsel Tri in beautiful Hemet, CA on December 14th.  It is a "reverse tri", meaning we run, then bike, and save the swim for last.  That's a good thing because I hear that Hemet can be quite chilly in December.....at least we won't have to bike and run wet and cold.

Just putting this out there to see if there's anyone else who might be interested in joining us.  It's a "Sprint" distance triathlon with a 3.1 mile run, 12 mile bike ride, and 150m swim (heated pool...yay!).  Of course....if anyone is interested in joining just to watch, I guarantee there will be some good laughs watching us try not to drown during the swim.  LOL!

More information can be found at www.tinseltriathlon.com

So.....are there any other tri girl or guy wannabe's out there?

Luckily it's in a pool.  If it was in open water I'd be tying a buoy to my foot so they could easily locate my body!  LOL

I'm aiming for the Avia Wildflower in May. They have a Sprint distance with a mountain bike course and I much prefer mountain biking to road racing.

Plus right now I can't do the run part so I need to work on that.

There's always a leg that's gonna be tough for everyone.  Right now Monica and I are part of the "drowning cat" club....at least that's what we look and feel like in the water.  Don't think that you need to run the whole thing....most "runners" even take walk breaks.
