I have mine back to about the 1300's. Have joined one of the Scottish Clans that are in my line.....we date back to Celtic Vikings......

way back, I'm working on some of my moms Australia roots now....

So my Norwegian Vikings were piliging and raiding your Celtic Vikings? Hmmmm.... I would think the Australian genealogy would be interesting.  So you have to trace back to England or France?  I find it all so interesting.

It is all very interesting....especially when you get into your DAR relatives.....http://www.angelfire.com/fl/ClanDunlop/ this is the clan that I and my two grandchildren joined, this is one from my dad's side....there is more on my mom's side in Australia.....my grandfater (mothers side) wore a kilt and played bagpipes......

Yep, very addictive......:)

Leann,

I am also very interested in Genealogy.  I have been researching for about four years and am concentrating on my dad's Portuguese heritage.  I have a subscription with ancestry.com so if i can be of any help, let me know.

I have ancestry also. Expensive, but worth it.  Every time I think about stopping it, someone asks for help or another branch emerges.  Do you have a Portugese website you prefer?  I wanted to let Vicki M know about it.

Right now I Belong and use an Azores group on yahoo
http://groups.google.com/group/Azores?hl=en

I also a member of http://www.lusaweb.com/ but I haven't been on it in a long time

I haven't found a good website for the main land yet but I do have a site where you
can order birth, marriage and death records for both the mainland and Azores.
I'll have to get back to you with that one.
