I had the surgery on the 5th of Nov.  I lost 13 pounds in the first stage but since I have been on 2 and 3, I have been putting on and off 4 pounds.  I cant get past 9 and am affraid that when I go to stage 4, which we all know has more food intake, that I will be putting on.  Has anyone had this problem???

Be patient, I had a similar frustration feeling like I was not losing but our bodies need time to adjust from the shocking change.  Try not to focus on the scale and good luck.

Just hang in there TigerLady...trust me as I say this and remember this...if you follow your doctors protocal to a "T" you WILL lose the weight. Your body is all haywire right now and everyone's body reacts different, but the weight in the long run will come off. It is just up to you to keep it off!

Good luck and congrats on your recent surgery!

Hey TL,

This didn't happen to me, but I know of people who it did happen to, my cousin included. She is 4 months out now, and is doing so well. Sometimes it takes awhile for your body to adjust to all that's gone on, and the HUGE change in your eating, etc. It's working hard to try and figure out what is going on, so sometimes it will try and hold onto weight, etc to preserve your health.

Just hang in there, because in the next few days you'll step on the scale and get some surprisingly good news!!!

Put that scale away and don't take it out for a while!

Like has been said, your body is FREAKIN out thanks to the trauma of surgery and all the huge changes you have been making, as long as you are following your docs "plan" and doing what you should be doing your body will even out and the weight will come off.

Don't worry!
