Moving to NoHo

Well, least that is what they tell me North Hollywood is called.  I am moving to Cali next Thursday and am wondering what the closest support group that might welcome me is?  I do not know LA, so no clue what is close and what isn't.  I got my VSG on 9-29-08 and am not quite ready to go out in the world without some support nearby.  I went to the LA event, and thought the people I met there were fantastic.

Yes, there is a group in Burbank at St. Joseph Providence Hospital. I believe it meets either the 3rd or 1st Wed. of the month.  Good luck

It meets on both of those Wednedays. It is going to be much cloer for you than the one mentioned near USC. Hope to see your there sometime!

Also, the Long Beach Coffee is an informal one that happens 1x/month in Long Beach. It isn't particularly close to you but it is FUN. Lots of cool people--a handful were at the OH conference. Even though it isn't close to me, this support group is the one I look forward to the most.

Oh I love Prescott, my MIL lived there......beautiful town, loved that big bar that they made a movie at, can't remember the name, but what fun that town was.....went to big street dance, everyone was so drunk......wow, memories.....

USC has a group that meet once a month(tomorrow) at the USC university hospital. its run by the nurse and dietician. PM if you want the address

Why would you want to move? I love that area, I lived in Clarkdale and would go back in a heart beat if, I could live there on my income. But I will live here in Nor Cal until my $$$ says otherwise.

It's not permanant.  I work 13 week contracts, and my next one happens to be in LA.  After that, who knows where I will be next...  I was thinking maybe San Francisco.  I always retreat to Prescott though.  You are right its beautiful here, and I have family.  Nor Cal is lovely too, spent some time in Sacramento.  Just didn't like the smokey air during wildfire season.

Carol, I must say out of all the cities I have been in ...and there are a lot (  I was a truck driver for 10 years) I love San Fransisco!! As a matter of fact I just got home from a nights stay in SF and wish I could have stayed a few more days. But I will be staying there for a few days soon I hope. Anyway, your jobs sounds great!! Before I became disabled I traveled as a photographer and loves it!
