I am new to this website and just trying to figure out how it works. I do not have a surgery date yet but I am waiting on approval. Can anyone tell me what to expect from this website. How do you all make new friends in here?

If you watch the boards posting, there are "get together" that everyone is welcome to join. Just find one that sounds good and go. You will meet new friends. You can meet them here also, just start chatting with others, and the friend ships will start.

Wecome! I noticed you are in my area. There's lots of us WLS folks here in the valley. Keep your eye on this board ( and the main board, sometimes) cause we get together every so often for lunch, on the weekends. It is so much fun! Hope you can join us next time! Just keep posting!

Hey there.. just jump in and start 'talkin' with folks.  Prior to my surgery I practically lived on OH..  Back then we didn't have any state boards or anything.. it was just one big message board.. Now it is so much easier to find folks in your area and get to know them f2f eventually.  I poured over the before and after pics.. read folks profiles and just dreamed!

So welcome and good luck with the whole approval process.. it takes awhile but will be done before ya know it.
