Good Monday Morning Cali

Wow this weekend seemed to fly on by..didn't it gang? It is hard to believe that it is only a few weeks until Christmas. I think think this next weekend I am going to get a tree...yeah me the original bah humbug...well maybe not original...but I grumble and moan all the way.

It was way good to sign on here and see the post for LuLu that her sister was doing okay and the news is positive. LuLu....just know we are ALL praying for her and even though she took a huge step backwards....if she is anything like you...she will be taking large strides to get well. You are a good person and sister.

Glad all of you who went to the San Ramon event had fun. It is always good to connect with people as much as you can because sometimes it can be so isolating to not be around people who have been through the same experience.

Jean...thinking of you gf...I hope you are feeling better...you sure have been MIA.

Sue how is your cold/infection going too? You have had a rough ride this year with colds, kidneys...hubby hurting...btw how is that going? How is Miss Sammi? You know you need to smooch her for me!

Lauren....how are things going on your homefront? I have not seen you post a lot lately and I surely hope that things are alright.

Chris S....how you doing with the fill being taken out. I know you said you feel like you can finally eat a bit. You have been doing fantastic on your wl for sure!

Candi...how are you doing girl? Lots of aches and pains. I misread or something....Emma was sick or something? How did I miss that. I hope that both of you are okay.

Monica W....so glad that you are back to work. You sound like you are in such a better place. Hope your mom and Missy Jordyn are doing okay.

Donna....don't know how much you are the boards here, but is someone going to give us a shout out when you have the baby? It has to be soon considering you look ten hundred months when you were at Tom's Farm.

Rhonda....thanks for continuing to check up on me...you're a good person and even better person for dropping your busy day for LuLu. That is what friends are for.

Liz...what can I say girl...no matter what a crappy place you are in....you always make the time for someone. Shows how much love you have in your heart. Oh and be glad it was Lindseys shoes and perhaps not one of your biking shoes? Bet you look like hot moma with the red hair too!

Lisa....getting all those boxes unpacked....OMG I could not stand the fact of moving. I hope this house brings much joy to you.

Diane C....where you be? Is everything okay....how is that poor shoulder of yours doing?

Lisa B....OMG that is so cool about the Cowboys making an offer of work to hubby. He had to be elated for sure...I hope you post what is going on when it all comes down.

Steve.....getting all geared up for the party? I know it is going to have to be fun...how could it not be! You know what I am most excited about to see at the end of the year...the weight loss from this board....it has to be off the hook!

Lola...wow you ran 11 miles this weekend in one run. OMG....you are da bomb girl!!! You are going to have a blast with all that vacation too. I wish we would get off longer, but I guess they think we only need 2 weeks. With two holidays in there...makes it hard to really have a vacation. BTW how old is your son?

Joy....I know that you are going in for surgery this week and I just feel for you that you have to go through all of this. I am hoping that the 4th time is a charm and you can get some relief.

Jan...great recap of the time in San Ramon....you are really looking great! We need to talk....Jeff wants to get out of town after Christmas.

Well I had better go back to bed before I have to get up in a half hour LOL. You know that just because I didn't shout you out, doesn't mean I do not care. Thank you also for all the well wish to get my back and neck better...it is like okay....not great...what really bugs me is when I get that gliche in the trap area of my back and it effects my neck...i.e. stiff neck. Of course it did not help that I out lined and letter more tiles for the kids for the much anticipated school kid driven mural.

Actually the fact that is Monday is a good thing for me. I am working in the MD Sick Call office today. It will be easier on my body. Saturday was my first real day back to work doing everything and when the day I was done I HURT, was exhausted and just wanted to die. Yesterday was easier, thankfully. Today should be much easier. Guess I am impatient, I want all the pain and swelling gone now!! Not a whole lot else going on. I know how bad a back and neck ache can be, chronic problems here and no fun. I hope you feel better!!
Keeping DD in my thoughts. Hope she starts getting better and stays that way!!

Good morning janine and Cali friends!

What a crappy weekend!!!  I have been down all weekend with this dang cold!  My nose finally stopped for the most part but now the coughing begins!  just lovely!  This just makes me feel so attractive!!!  lol

My Company and Teamsters voted on an "economic relief" plan and all wages will be cut 10%!  Not good.  That means it comes from both pots in my household.  I'm not sure what they are doing with the benefits and 401k plan yet.  I guess I should take the "high road" and just feel blessed that I still have a job!  I'm trying!!!

Janine - Tommy is with his Mother, here in Sacramento....  grrrrr...  they had a last minute change in plans!  I can't keep up so you can imagine how he feels!

Good Morning Janine and Cali Guys and Gals!

I am exausted.  You see my husband is the all time record holder of the loudest snore.  He started at 2:00 a.m. and is still going and I was just too pooped to get out of bed until now!  lol.  Once we went camping with a group of people, and a few of the guys thought a bear had gotten into our tent!  It was funny, but it is a pain to live with sometimes!  lol  I will have to sneak in a nap later today to make up for this lost sleep.  Today not much, but laundry and your general cleaning so it may be an easy day.  Well I am going to try and sneak a few more minutes of sleep in.  Thanks for the shout out Janine you are amazing to remember so many people at such an early hour.  Have a great day.

Good Morning All.........

Today birngs work, I hope. I have already spoke with DD's nurse, and she had a restless night, but all her vital signs are good, and they have already started to ween her off the vent. I think she will feel much better with that dang thing out. I know she is very upset about being back on it, but if its needed, then she will just have to deal with it. The nurse was not happy about the fact that when she doing something that pissed DD off she flipped her off. She was very upset about that. (the nurse) I guess she didn't see it as being funny, and my laughing didn't help.  OOPS!

The girl that I went to night to train, gave her two week notices. Dang it! she is good, and I hate to lose her. But her husband would lose his job if they stayed here, so they are moving to San Diago, and have to be there for his frist day of work on the 15th. I can understand, but dang it!

OK time to jump in the shower and get ready for my day.

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

I had a great weekend just being me and my big girl at home.  I got most of my clothes organized and had so many WOW moments shopping in my own closet.  I can't believe the things I found and how many fit or were too big. Yesterday we went to get our tree.  It is just a baby one that will sit on top of a table.  I swear my momther's tree stand almost looks bigger than the tree.  But the house already smells of pine and that says Christmas to me.

Morning Janine and Cali!  Janine - you are amazing with your shout outs - no one does it like you!  I'm doing much better since the unfill . . . I was having trouble even with liquids in the mornings . . . now I can drink my protein shake and get on with life instead of sipping for an hour . . . on the down side (my bad) . .. I've put on 2 lbs since I can actually eat . . . so now I have to find a happy medium.  All in all - I NEEDED that unfill even though I didn't want to part with it.  And OMG . . . COSTCO IS NUTS this time of year!  I HATE crowds and feel claustrophobic - but have my little cart to protect me and give me my own space . . . so I survive.

Here I am - I worked an Estate sale all weekend so didn't have time for posting and such - didn't even do much reading....I am feeling better just dealing with the stupid cough that always creeps in during the night...I hate colds...but at least its getting better.

No alot planned for me this week...I am getting all of the xmas decorations down today and gonna get the tree up (yep a small artificial one) but I know once I get the decorations up I will be more in the christmas mood.

Tomorrow is my day to get my hair done - need a cut and color for sure....and some time this week I guess I need to do a little christmas shopping and get my cards done....I am so behind this year and I don't really know why.

I continue to pray for Lu and her sister - I can not even imagine having to go through that.....Hang in there Lu we are all here for you

Janine you take care of yourself...how is  your son doing?  And I bet that those grand babies are gonna have one great xmas with there Neen.  Oh I don't knw if you ever shop QVC but they have some really cute Hello Kitty stuff...I thought of you and Ava.  QVC.com and just search hello kitty.,

Ok well time to go  put the sheets in the dryer and have a cup of coffee....a new coffee I bought - Pumpkin Spice with a little SF gingerbread syrup...almost as good as Starbucks.

Everyone have a great week and I will try not to be so MIA - but since I have done NO shopping yet - I think I am gonna be pretty buys the next couple of weeks.

Hi Janine-  I don't even know if I posted it-  Ellie had pnumonia over Thanksgiving and we had to cancel our plans to go to our parents' house with her.  She is doing much better after lots of breathing treatments and 3 trips to urgent care.  She seems 100% better now.

Janine, glad your back is getting a little better and I am so glad to hear Lu's sister is better.  My prayers are going strong.  Candi, glad to hear your daughter is better too, I have asthma and it's no fun when you can't breathe and it has you down.

I did have a productive weekend.  Next weekend, party central at our house with two parties!  One Sat and the other Sun, both will have over 45 people.  Our one on Sat is our annual Family & Friends party which trades off every year.  The one on Sunday is a Cookie & Ornament exchange.  I will try to stay away from the cookies as I am still trying to loose before my surgery.

Concert went really well and now I am done until the Dr. says I can play my sax again post surgery.  The sax weighs a bit and lugging it around may not be a good thing right after surgery, so I will ask when I go in for pre-op on Jan 2nd.
