Only 4 days left till our first triathlon!!!!!!   Are we getting excited yet or ?  LOL

I got our Santa hats and am going to put our names on them tonight.  Couldn't find pink so we'll have to settle for red.

Did you hear the weather report?  A low of 39...high of 59....and rain!  I'm praying to the rain God now to hold onto the rain till after we're done.  I've never ridden in the rain before.....SCARY!!!!

My back is still ouchie...but feeling a bit better today.  I'm hoping that I'll be feeling better by Sunday or else I'll be all warm and cozy cheering you guys on.  LOL

I haven't been able to do any training since my ride on Saturday because of my back, so I guess I'm as ready as I'll be able to be?

Oh GAWD! I didn't even think about cycling in the rain!!! It can be dangerous!

I was so worried about swimming in the cold. Even though the pool is heated, I still have to get out of the pool eventually.

AND!!! I don't know how to dive in the water!!! I use the ladder at my pool.

DAMN KIRSTEN!!!  You're CRAZY! ....and I'm a fool for following you!!!

(But it sure is going to be a cool story to share afterwards!)

I'll run or swim tonight and that's it, I'll rest up and hydrate from Thursday on....I'm as ready as I'm going to be.

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

I don't know how to dive in either.   I'll do my best, but be prepared for a belly flop!  ha ha!

I'm most worried about the cycling in the rain....I don't want to fall!  :-(

We need to have Kevin and Chuck take lots and lots of pictures.  This will be something we will never forget!  LOL

No pictures of my thighs in a swimsuit, please!

I'm not wearing a swimsuit.  I'm swimming in what i ride and run in....minus the shirt.  In other words, my bike shorts and sports bra.  There is NO way I can run in a swim suit (unlike Mama Liz), and I can't see trying to change out there in the cold.
So...tell me....do you plan on running in the swim suit or changing?

I'm busy making my transition station list now.  Can't forget the warm gloves!  LOL

I might get a speedo swimsuit and wear a sportsbra under it, I'll wear it under my running gear.

I don't know if I can run in cycling shorts...maybe I'll practice that tonight.

Running in cycling shorts does feel funny at first...kinda like a loaded diaper.  LOL  But after a few minutes I forgot they were there.  I also swam in them....which is fine in a reverse tri, but I couldn't imagine riding and running after swimming with the soggy padding.  That would suck big time.

Hey Monica....don't hydrate too much.  I bet we won't even break a sweat out there!  Brrrrrrrr!  LOL!
