Wow, I have been off the boards since Saturday morning.  Went to our new OH meeting and when I got home my son phoned. He was at this years first wrestling tournament and they moved him up 20 lbs out of his class of 125. Seems the guy at one point poked him in the eye on accident and then picked him up and slammed him on his left shoulder. Spent 4 hours at ER to find out they could only place it in the  immobilizer and gave him vicoden for pain. They said if it was dislocated they could put him out for 5 minutes and put it back. He actually broke the upper arm bone off at the joint and the joint was displaced from the socket. Took him to see the Ortho and they did surgery first thing Tuesday.  Boy what a week.. The were able to position it all through orthoscopes and placed 3 pins. Thankfully did not have to open his arm and use a rod.  He will have them in place for about 4-6 weeks.  He is doing much better than I expected.. Lori W

Your right, what a week... I am so sorry that he was hurt, and that he had to have surgery to fix it.. I hope that he heals fast, and that there are no more broken bones..   Take Care, and I will keep your family in my prayers..

Hugs,
Jenn
