1st Appointment with Surgeon Monday

 After having to prove 6 months of medically supervised diet and providing my diet history- then having to see an Endocrinologist and the HMO "gatekeeper", I got my referral to see the surgeon, Dr. Quilici on Monday.  The appointment is 3 hours long- any advice or details as to what is going to happen?  I am so excited and scared to get this going.

I think that every health plan has different processes, but at my first visit with the surgeon (I have kaiser) we discussed the surgery, my goals, the full process, and what my weight loss goals would be prior to surgery.  I also met with a nutritionist.

Good luck with your first appointment.  I can't guess at what it all will entail.  Seems like everyone's steps vary but come back and tell us how it goes.
