It worked!

You guys rock!

Chris and I got an apartment! We went to see a place in Hayward on Saturday and just fell in love with both the apartment and the city, we applied, got approved, and put the hold deposit down right then and there! The complex is absolutely beautiful, lots of trees and little ponds, we even have ducks! We have tennis courts and a fitness center (so I have no excuse not to be working out!) and several pools.

The rent is well below our max budget (YAY!) and the floor plan is HUGE for a 1 bedroom! They take dogs (yay!)

The only snag is that they wanted more than we expected in deposit, so we are scrambling a little to come up with a few hundred extra dollars (we have to take posession by the 27th and we were expecting to have our paychecks from the 2nd towards deposit!) but I am sure it will work out one way or the other! I am hopeful that someone we know will be able to float us a couple hundred for the wee****il we get our paychecks.
