Good Tuesday Mornin' Cali

OK . . . this was a test this morning just to get into the forums . . . my brain isn't functioning at this hour to be faced with a new layout However, once I get the hang of it, life will be back to status quo.

I'm waiting for a call from Walmart that I can go pick up 300 toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste this morning . . . it was supposed to come in last night . . . and we have to stuff our bags tomorrow at work . . . so I'm sure hoping it's in!  So I'm driving in today instead of standing in the rain and cold waiting for the trolley . . . hummmm . . . horrible traffic or rain and wind . . . such choices!

Oh, good! I am glad to know that others are having fun with the board this morning, I thought forsure I made a wrong turn somewhere this morning.

May I ask who you are making the 300 bags for? I halped wrap gifts last year for kids. We wrapped over 500 gifts and it took us like 6 hours. It was tons of fun, and I would have loved to do it again this year, but just didn't have the time to offer. 

Yesterday, I was at target, and my sister DD called, please come up here now. So I leave my cart, and rush to see what is wrong. She was upset because the Dr. spoke mean to her because she is NOT eating. What did she want me to? She wanted me to take her home. Yea Right! I don't think she was to happy when I told her to EAT! She wont take pain pills because she don't want to get use to them. DORK! I talked her into taking them last night, and also made sure she took the flu shot. She is very tried of being at the hospital and today is going to harder, since today is her birthday.

My thraot is killing me, I think I will go back to bed, and sleep for a few more hours. Does that sound like a plan?

Oh my Lulu ...  I'm glad your sister is doing better...  but it can drive you nuts when they (the sick ones) don't do what they are told to do by the doctor . . . and you get the extra stress of dealing with it . . . I'm so sorry for you . . . and hope your throat starts feeling better fast!  you've been under a LOT of stress!

Our company (nationally) cancelled all our holiday parties this year - and we are donating 1.5 million to charities around the country.  Our office has $10,000 that we are donating to senior centers and homeless shelters - and we are making goodie bags . . . with the rest being given as cash to assist these groups (I'm not even sure who they are at this point).  I just know the guy in charge of gathering everything waited a little to long so had to pull help from some of us admin types . . . so my project is the toothpaste and brushes .. . We put it all together tomorrow . . . so it's a good thing.

Get better fast!

Good Morning Christ and Cali guys and Gals.

It is my fault Janine is not on line this morning!  I kept her on the phone untl 9:30 last night.  But boy was it fun.  I have not laughed that hard in a long time.  Janine you are a special lady with the funniest since of humor!  I really get you!  We also both have our BFF Maxine and we both adore her!  THanks for the wonderful chat.  I needed some adult conversation really bad after being with 5 teens all day, 4 of them girls, and God were they chatty!  lol  You go and have a good day, and sorry to call you so late.  Chris Good luck on thas bags getting done today, what a blessing you are to those in need.  Lu I sent you  a PM so get back to me when you can.

I too was surprised by the change in the site....I also thought I had gone to a wrong place.

Lu - take care of yourself - whatever is going around is nasty for sure.....I had it - started to get well and BAM, got a total relapse on Sat...I am starting to feel better again...now I am paranoid to go anyplace around people cause I don't want to get anything else....maybe I should pull a Michael Jackson and wear a surgical mask if I go outside....

Need to run some errands today that I didn't do yesterday cause of the weather then time to organize and wrap gifts.

Everyone stay warm...and Lu - kick that sister in the butt and tell her to mind the Drs orders....

Again congrats to the TRI SISTERS - they rock for sure.

Well, Jean if you want I can send you a surgical mask..  It will be disposable though.  I can even send you one with a mask to protect your eyes if you want. Then you can get the film to darken em like sunglasses.  Let me know K.  Thanks for the congrats on the Tri.  I wish I could of done better.  When not so stiff actually have shin splints.  damn that running.  I feel so energized though.

Liz I want some of those masks,  I would also like the sunglass thing also if you would.  I love playing doctor at home.  Actually my kids think I am a doctor because I am magic with the boo boo's and the owies,  I guess I just have the magic touch.  Congrats on the Tri ath.  You gals are awesome!

Hey Chris...you ROCK!!! Thanks for posting!!! I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning.....toooooooooooooooooooooo cold. And what is up with me sleeping...oh wait a minute...could it be drugs? LOL You might have to be the OH board queen of morning posts!

So them are a lot of clean teeth if you ask me!

The weather here in the desert was less than stellar yesterday...a lot of road flooding and I did make it over the wash before it was closed. However when coming home last night, I did take an alternative route. It snowed in Yucca yesterday and after I picked up my grandson, I drove up Tram Rd to show him the snow. It was down to almost to the tram station....and it was a burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 39 degrees. I know like Hunter will remember LOL

Well off to the gallows...man the kids are sprung out and do not want to be at school as much as I do not want to be!
