How are you doing?  How did the board meeting go?  I hope it went well and you were not let go.  Keep your eye out for a few packages coming in the mail.  One may get to you after we reveal who we are and if not, than I guess you just may find out who I am.

Hi Elfie,

I am a little sad today.  School board voted to eliminate my job effective June 30th.  But like Gloria Gaynor, "I will survive."  I have been dividing my time between OH and job boards!  Right now I am trying to focus on the surgery and not worry about job but it is a challenge to do so.

You are a very special Elfie.

I am sad to hear that the school board voted to eliminate your position.  What do you do with the school?  Music?  These are really hard times and I am sorry that they are letting you go.  However, you are right, to think positive, what can you do?  You are about to embark on one of the most amazing journey's of your life and you should go into it with a positive attitude and a good mind set.  Allow yourself to enjoy the next few weeks and the weeks after your surgery.  You have a while before you have to start stressing about the job.  Plus when you get back out there to look for work you will be minus a lot of weight and feeling great about your progress. 

Please know that Elfie is thinking about you and thinks you are pretty special as well.

I manage Workers' Compensation.  I do believe God has a plan.  The positive things are I get to have my surgery.  My hubby will graduate from UC Berkeley in May and I have a job until June.  I have always landed a job with no problem and you are absolutely correct, I will have a whole new attitude about myself and how I am looking as I loose weight.  Sometimes when you get hit with a bunch of stuff all at once, it takes a while to put it all in check and realize you just have to take one day at a time and believe in yourself.

I have been so fortunate to have you as my Elfie.  I think Janine was SO right, these friendships are very special.
