Home sweet home
Good Morning.......
Its just about 3:30 in the morning, I am up because DD woke me to let me know she was in pain, and after two pain pills she is sleeping like a log, and I am awake watching TV. Oh grand!
We did not get home until after 8 last night, it took them that long to discharge her. They asked us to be at the hospital at 9 am and then we sat around until heck froze over. I came home at about 1 and waiting until they had there ****ogether. I drove back up at 6:45 and waited. After a few minutes, the nurse tells me, the doctor didn't sign the orders. I told her to page him. She tells me its 7 he is at home. I calmly asked for the charge nurse, or a wheel chair. YOU PICK!!!!!! She new the whole time, that he had not signed the order and DONE NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! After a bit of time she came back in the told me the doc wanted to wait until tomorrow (today) to discharge, and she had the nuts to come in and tell me that. At that point, I told her you had better get your charge nurse, before I start asking the house Supervisor. The charge came in and started talking around paging the doc again, so I asked for the house charge. She looked at me kinda shocked because she didn''t know I worked in the filled. I told her I am very tired of this game, I am leaving with my sister with or without a signed order. That that was there problem, NOT MINE OR MY SISTERS. If they didn't have the balls to call him, I would. After about 20 minutes, they brought us wheel chair and her discharge paper work and discharged medication. Dang Dorks!!!
The charge nurse told me the floor nurse should have found out the order was not signed hours ago. What? Really? NO SHI*!!!
I am just glad its over and she is home. YAY!! Now I can sleep. Her medication is working, and I am sleepy.
I wish you all a great day. Keep dry and stay safe.
Lu and sister too..........

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations.
I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty,
believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

That's the middle of the night. lol I'm so glad you gave them what for. Sometimes I think we'll just roll over and play dead if they speak. Not going to happen to a WLS patient. We fought to get where we are. LOL I'm thrilled your sister is well enough to be home. Take a couple tylenol PM when the next shift comes in and get some sleep. :-)
I'm sending lots of get well wishes.
