Okay the only thing a little too good today is that tomorrow at 12:15, I am done with wor****il the 5th of January! Oh yeah and one more thing...it's FRIDAY!!!!!! Yippie Skippie!!!!

Well is it friggin cold or what? The desert looks like a winter wonderland for sure. Snow all over the mountains and it looked like from what I can tell that the snow came all the way down to the first or lowest ridge on San Jacinto. 2nd time in a week Yucca was snowed in couldn't go up and down the Yucca grade. Nikki you know where that is don't you?

It stay mostly in the low 40's yesterday and I am not sure that is going to be much warmer today. We have frost and blac**** advisories.

And can you believe how stupid ass the people drive in this weather? OMG....there is wide spread flooding in the desert and these buttafucco's plunge through the flooding like it is a play thing...and here is me in this little mercedes drenched!!! Not to mention a bit of hydroplaning on the highway...scary!

Well that is my weather report from the desert...looking forward to daylight to see how beautiful the mountains are.

I do not have time to do a shout out this morning....slept can you believe it? I just wish you all a very safe day on the roads and remember the reason we all had this surgery when we are tempted by the holiday garbage food....to be healthy!  Remember nothing tastes as good as thin feels friends!

PEACE OUT!!!! Santa Sled

Good Morning Janine & Everyone,
Today is my Friday of sorts, I have one day off then work the weekend. Hey atleast it is a day off. Yesterday wasnt as bad as I expected only because of 2 things though. I got to see the ASTRIA helicopters and we were first responders to an accident. Never knew a big Sheriffs bus could go full code, lights and sirens and just imagine doing a traffic break in that big thing. It was like a rollercoaster!!! It backed us up and we didnt spend much time anywhere else, but that was fine because everything was flooded. By the end of the day my toes were frozen my shoes were wet and I was glad it was all over. Today at work will be much easier and warmer!!!
I am already doing laundry so I wont have so much to do tomorrow. When you only have one day off at a time it doesnt give you much recharge time.
I know exactly where you are talking about Janine & I know all about the desert flooding. All I know is people in Southern Cali are not smart about driving in the rain. I dont think they will ever learn either!!! I cant believe how many accident there were down here. How many people got their cars stuck in flood waters and thought they could get to the snow without chains or snow tires, lol.
Oh well off to get ready for work. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!! Be good to yourselves and those around you!!!

Well, Yesterday was a picnic...... NOT.  It snowed all day yesterday.  I left the house at 0630 left  and it was snowing like crazy.  It snowed from 0530 to like 9pm last night. I have like 8 inches of snow in my yard.  It was a tough drive home last night.  About an hour for 13 miles.
Now today the issue is I need to get to work today.  Not sure when it will happen.  I am afraid if I don't make it to work things will be tough. Not really sure what I will do.  I wil go slow but get there eventually

Everyone stay warm, dry and safe....

Today is babysitting day and I am sure we will be in the house all day - to cold to  play in the backyard...so it will probably be movie day (which I am not looking forward to since I am not a big fan of cartoon movies - but I am taking a book and I will let my little Mackenzie watch whatever she wants....and Aunt Jeannie will just read.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

I am so with you that after tomorrow I will be on vaca until January 12th.  My darling child had a rough night first going to sleep and then was up fussing every hour from 2:26 on.  Can you say dead mom walking today.  I wouldn't mind so much but we are doing sex ed this week and today is the day I have to answer all the questions the kids submitted.  Will be shoosing my words very carefully.

Everyone be safe

Morning Janine and Cali!  I actually slept in this morning until the alarm rang at 5:30 . . . yea!

Yesterday was somethin' else . . . #1 - the toothbrushes never came in . . . so we just gave toothpaste . . . oh well . . . and the rain . . . and more rain . . . we were supposed to walk the goodie bags over to the senior center - but because of the weather - we had 4 cars doing circles but got it all done.  My shoes are STILL wet from yesterday . . . but they will dry.  We got everything done before the first sitting (meal) for the seniors - and one woman's comment was "This is the best Christmas I've every had" . . . OMG . . . instant tears in my eyes!!!!!

Have a great day everyone - 2 more days at this job, one at Costco - and then I'm in Vegas until Christmas Day!  Wahoo!

Chris

Good Morning Janine and Caii Guys and Gals,

We got almost 2 feet of snow here in hesperia.  My son talked me into picking up his girlfriend and her sister, then the neighbor girl came over and it was Teenager Hang out.  Then we got snowed in.  Ever been snowed in with 3 teen girls (loud ones)  and a hormonal 14 year old and 5 other little ones?  What a hoot.  So I spent pretty much the enitre day cooking for all of these kids.  They all had to spend the night and I had to have my 14 year old son sleep on the floor in my room (need I explain)  lol.  Well now they want french toast for breakfast and that should be an everlasting assembly line,  darn these kids can eat!  But honestly I have to say I am enjoying myself with a house full of kids.  It is really really fun.  So I should not complain.  Well today I have to figure how  am going to get these girls home to their families.  You see it rarely snows here in Hesperia so they don't have snow plows or do they clear the roads.  Yesterday on the way home from getting the girls I saw about 10 cars stuck.  I have 4 wheel drive so that is a good thing.  WE also have no school today or until January 5th, so if we don't thaw out soon,  I am going to have all these children living here forever, say a prayer.  WEll I better get to cooking.  Thanks for listening and do something nice for you today.

Rhonda you and I must be a lot a like.  I love having a house full of teenagers - they're a hoot!

Good Morning Janine and Cali Crew!  It's COLD here with a chance of snow!  Not much happening in my neck of the woods.  Just work, feeding the guys and doing some sewing and hoping to stay warm.   I got a wonderful compliment from my hubby last night.  He looked at me in my new black jeans and new white sweater and said ..... "wow, you're HOT"!  Then he followed it up with ................"but you're getting too skinny".  Ha!  Love it!  I have around 35# more to go.

Tomorrow I pick up Jayden for 2 weeks here with dad.  Last night the Superintendent was telling the guys the work schedule for the next 2 weeks and it looks like Dad is going to spend quite a bit of time with his little guy.  They're only working Monday and Tuesday of next week and then Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday of the following week.  The only down part is he doesn't get paid for off days.  Oh, well.    I have had a request from my siblings who have not seen me since before surgery.  They want to see me in person.  So, one day the end of next week Jayden and I will venture forth up to Mom's house.
