2 month surgiversary
Thank you Lola..I have to say, each day IS easier...the holidays are not the demon I thought they would be.The WLS philosophy and surgical/physical intervention has made me relive so much pain..but it has also cleansed me of some of those demons. I am a nurse and fully believe in modern medicine as God's right hand...Holiday Blessings to you and yours..

Thank you Janine!! I dunno about a new board pic...that one (the avatar) is when I felt and looked my best and it was only 3 years ago! I had alot of emotional situations the following years until recently and rally did not like me anymore...I look at my avatar and tell myself..just another year...kinda like hanging on to my skinny jeans...(got those too..lol) More current pic is on my profile, in my picture area, one taken about 2 weeks ago. I don't like me in it, but I looooooove the reason it was taken. I did however chop off the bottom half of me..lol I won't be blond again until I know what my body is going to do with my hair..lol No hair loss yet..but I will wait until my year surgiversary before I mess with Mother Nature..lol
Happy Holidays and God Bless...

.....I am proud. An unusual feeling for me. It took awhile before I felt proud, cuz it went so slowly..(to me anyway), but I kept reminding myself of what I have read so many times to so many posters..."When was the last time (any weight) was lost in (this) amount of time" ...Now..just the knowledge that it is gone for good, and following protocol keeps it off, makes the journey so much less stressful. Like everybody here, I can gauge my past weight by events in my life, so, instead of number goals, I am using past events. My first goal has been accomplished and that was to lose the weight I gained in the time that passed since my mother
died this past spring. That took place at -30 pounds. Next goal is the weight I gained during the time I cared for her over the preceding year. Then give or take the past 7 years and another 75 pounds, and I will be in Onederland!! For my final realistic goal, I intend on wearing my wedding dress to church on January 15, 2010, and renewing my vows....I also intend on needing to alter it smaller too..lol It was a simple peasant style dress..no fruf-rus..lol As I've posted in my profile goal...I was 180 pounds when I married,,,so its do-able..lol
