OT: Any computer guru's on here?

Can you help me out.  I will mainly be using it for paperwork while on the road.  I know nothing about Ubuntu Linux version 8.04.1.  I will also probably use it for internet when I am away from home,, but I mostly want it for documentation.  All my documents are on MS Word or Excel, will they be compatable with what comes on the PC?

Hey Lola,

Your Ubuntu 8.04.1 installation will come with OpenOffice this can open any MS office file format you can throw at it.
