A Happy Holiday to All of YOU

Dear Friends here at OH:

Another year has passed...well almost. Hard to believe that it is a matter of hours really until the magic bell strikes midnight! Even though Christmas is so commercial...you can still find the little kid in yourself around the holidays if you dig deep.

In years past, I dread Christmas not just because of family dynamics (well sometimes), but I also dreaded the food. Yeah I got through it...don't we all at some point? I mean food is not screaming my name this year. Yeah I have had a lick here and there...but it made me sick the taste of it...good eh?

To me the holidays is getting to spend some special time with my family and my friends. I have been truly blessed this past year and a bit more with two very beautiful grandchildren in my life...and I have no words for how they make me feel. I have so much love for them.

This year also brought me many friends from this site. Some are long term friends and some are brand new friends. I enjoy each and everyone of you and you all have made me feel so supported over this last year with all my doings...another true blessing in my life.

So thank you:

Yeah I could go on and on...well maybe not, but I tried to remember as many people as I could who have played a roll in my life this year...these are just a few of the people honestly. I tried my darndest to remember everyone I could think of...not easy.

Mostly I want to thank you all and I mean that even if I did not shout out your name....you have all been a gift to me this year...and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Janie, I just want to say you are without a doubt ...And I ffeel privileged to call you friend even though we haven't met yet we will and I hope we can take a putt together someday soon.

I loooooooove being part of a "group"..lol  We all share so mucyh of the same story, different name, syndrome and its terrific and we will get thru/over/around it.  With heartfelt love and many Blessings to all (find your name in Janine's shout-out group..lol)..and to those new and upcomming newbies...have a healthy and most of all happy as can be New Year.  There are some of us still dealing with loss of loved ones...and I think maybe our losses will resurface as growth, both emotional and spiritul next year...I can only pray it is so.  I've got to find more focus on whats in front of me and my surroundings and keep my tears and heartache tucked away in a corner of my heart....to surface when the necessary times come, but not overwhelming my life.  My mother would have hated me "wasting time" not moving on.  I truely believe this Holiday has become my saddest yet a most worthwhile aspect of my current life...and I can only go forward with if I may say..God's help and the support of my friends with lives in common. OH'ers rock!!!

I just read this and it is beautiful.  I am so blessed to have met you.  You are my encourager and my mentor in all of this, and I have come to love you as a dear friend.  Thank you for all you do for me, I can't tell you enough how much it means to me.  I look forward to the new year and all that it will bring to us.  I know we will all grow (in person/spirit not size) this upcoming year and we shall do it together.  We will be here to share with, cry with, laugh with, support for the coming year.  Janine you are so special to so many on this board.  Each and every morning you are there for us, because we need you and you love us.  Thank you Ms. Janine for just being you.
